You can take advantage of it. But since theres no cap on the 3% transaction fee according to the application website, you could end up with a pretty big fee if you decide to make a big transfer. Say for example with the Chase MS with 0% BT with a transaction fee of 3%, but it capped at $75, you can do a BT for $5000 and the most you'll pay for it will be $75. But if you did it with the New York Jets MBNA card for $5000, you'll end up paying the full 3% of it ($150).
On Balance Transfers through your first fifteen billing cycles.* This Introductory APR applies only to balance transfers and cash advance checks, and may end sooner if your payment is late. (Please note that payments are applied first to balances with the lowest APR and balance transfers and cash advance checks are subject to a 3% transaction fee, no less than $10).
I just got approved for $2500 CL and my FICO score ain't the greatest. I'm happy about that. I wasn't instantly approved though, I applied and called the CSR which told me I was approved after being on hold for about 13 mins. She told me there was something wrong with the website and some people who should be instantly approved defaulted to another message.
I'll love the New York Jets once I get my free iPod NANO. |

Every time I called up, the automated service asked me for my home telephone number and told me that there was no matching record. (I am sure I put in the right number in the app)
But then I finally went ahead and talked to the CSR and was told that I am approved! Yippeee !! |

Me too. I just looked at the application again and I totally missed those two Yes/No questions at the very top. Heh. |

I called and entered my phone number. The system did not find it. I entered it again and it sent me to a credit specialist. She checked for my info and asked for my private info. Then she mentioned that there is a credit evaluation pending or something pending... i can't remember. And she recommended to call back in 24-48 hours.
I applied yesterday (sunday). Anyone with similar experience get approved? |

That's exactly what originally happened to me. The system found my phone number the next day and told me I was approved. |

Mine was not showing up on the automated phone system after 24 hours. However, once I spoke to a rep, she said that it had been approved with a $17.5k credit line.
I need this to add to my collection of freebie iPods (Mini and shuffle from Citibank). I'm going to have get an Eagles sticker to put over the Jets engraving... a small price to pay! |

*BALANCE TRANSFERS. Total value of transfer requests cannot exceed your credit line. MBNA sends either full or partial payment to your creditors in the order you list them. Allow at least 2 weeks from account opening for processing. Continue paying each creditor until the transfer appears as a credit. Transfers are processed as cash advances as described in the Credit Card Agreement. Cash advances incur finance charges from the transaction date. Balance Transfers and Cash Advances to which introductory APRs apply are subject to transaction fees in the amount of 3% of the transaction (minimum $10 ). If your available credit cannot accommodate any transaction, fee and/or finance charge, the account will be subject to over-the-credit-limit costs. Balance transfers and/or cash advances may not be used to pay off or pay down any MBNA account

They just asked me for my SS# and one other identifier. Can't remember exactly--I've been doing too many of these lately! |

Called the number and the csr told me that I'm approved. Just wondering if we really need to call. Looks as long as they don't reject you, you'll always get approved when you call.

Automated telephone status system did not recognize my telephone number, so finally after the third time of being transferred to a representative they put me through to a credit analyst. The word that came down was reallocate or be denied, of course the decision I made was the former. Will the $1K drop in credit limit on my other card be a negative once it hits my report? |
