Here is the outer 'burbs of Chicago, buses and trains are essentially nonexistent, except for travel into the city, where I go very rarely.+1 but not many people use Pace anyways so they wont expand much on it

Ugh, I forgot that the restaurant promo was on. We've just spent a few hundred dollars in restaurants over the past couple of weeks because they had a special "restaurant week" promo in my area with great deals on 3 course meals ($26) at high end restaurants. Oh well, the odds are that most of these fancy places did not take Discover, anyway, and at least I used my Costco AMEX to get 3% back.

I have been using it at CC and Amazon, at least.

I'm really discouraged with the white Sharper Image gift cards. Today I tried using the gift card on an order with free shipping and it didn't allow me to submit my order (no submit button anywhere on the last order page). Because shipping to HI is now very expensive I decided to forgo using my gift card and get free shipping instead. Next they'll probably not allow white GCs on outlet orders or any sale special pricing....BAH!

I have a question about the Get More program. If you signed up like octber 15 and the promo started october 1 and you made a purchase on october 10, will you still get the 5% CashBack on the purchases you made on october 10?

Just a heads-up to check your statement that covers December. I just got mine and was not credited the 5% get more for my eligible purchases made during December.

I contacted Discover through secure e-mail and am waiting for their response.

All of them ? or some of them ?
I have experience for my last two days charges not getting the 5%
I think although you swipe it 1 or 2 days before the end of month, but the transaction actually posted until next month. So they don't consider as those purchase belong to 5% category.

All of them!

For the entire month of December a flat 1% on everything.

All of them!

that's not true. stop spreading lies. Anything charged till the 31st gets 5 percent Cash Back that is of that category. However if you have a problem or the post actually shows a few days later, the Cash Back will not be reported till next statement. Whether it is automatic or not, I'm not sure.

bksavings, my statement has an "5% CashBack bonus - Get More" line that I don't see on your statement.
I assume you got the 5% bonus in your previous statments? Did you max out? Quick summary says the cap is $1000 in purchases.

FYI: This happened to me before.
I signed up the Get more program of Oct to Dec on September, and did not get the 5% credit on all eligible purchases made during October.
I then contacted Discover through online message. They replied that I did not sign up the program. Luckily I kept my signing up confirmation mail and showed to them. Then they re-enrolled me into the program and credited my missing points after two billing statements.
