Now seems like a good time to do the AOR. Unless you want to take my Dad's advice: "This seems like a lot of work, why don't you just quit?".

The juicy PNC and GE offers have expired, according to the word I've read.

Your plan might have you applying for 3 personal citibank cards. You might bonk on the 2 apps per 90 day limit, so make sure the third card is one you don't want that bad.

Glad to see someone going through a 2.0 AOR as I am in the same boat here in a few weeks once some more statements close and report. A version 1.0 AOR has been well documented and getting the low hanging fruit there is pretty easy. Round 2 I am finding to require more planning and strategy.

Anyways, you have a good list to start.. here are a few possibilities I found when doing some digging. I haven't decided how many of these cards to try for.. hopefully some lessons can learned here.

BOA 12 mo 0% BT with NO fee appears to alive again: Link

Suntrust 9 mo 0% BT with NO fee (if you apply by June 30): Link

National City 6 mo 0% BT with NO fee: Link

Principal Bank (Infibank) 12 mo 0% BT $75 fee: Link

Compass Bank... have to apply by phone, don't know what current terms they have.

Integra Bank (Elan) 6 mo 0% BT with NO fee: Link

Wachovia 6 mo 0% BT with NO fee: Link

Good luck... will be interested in how yours turns out!

Fine print is our friend this time (see bottom of the application page.. this isn't in the T&C):

The Balance Transfer Transaction Fee is the greater of $10 or 3% of the transaction. However, for Accounts opened prior to June 30, 2007, there are no Balance Transfer Transaction Fees for Balance Transfers made within the first 3 months after your Account is opened.

I guess I can pick any of those three since they seem to have the same terms for BTs.

The infibank ones are tricky, click summary of terms. I think they recently changed in the terms and havent updated website.

Here is principals:

lhendricks92 applied for this card with the understanding there was a $75 cap.

Isn't this the one that some people reported being closed even before the card arrives in mail? This worries me: "We reserve the right to change the account terms should your credit profile change or for other reasons described in the Summary of Credit Terms."

-Don't know about consolidating your Providian with a new WAMU, but I would take a shot with WAMU especially if you have a pre-approved offer. (You can also check for offers online, but nothing very good came up for me just now.) WAMU will compete with your high lines: as a data point, took advantage of a targeted offer and received a $19k line (put a $16k BT request on app) with much less HHI than you have.

-By way of lhendricks92's recent AOR, why not take a shot at the BofA Business Power Rewards Visa. I think it has no-fee 9 month BT, though there was some question about whether it was really no fee or not. If I recall correctly, I think both he and cameron2003 received high lines from them.

Gotta run, good luck!

Edit: If you do apply CapOne, make sure you request a BT at time of app. Even if the card doesn't have a good BT offer, you can pay it off before or even after statement close and pay no interest, since most of the time their BTs are treated like purchases.

That's why I didn't put it up on the list yet.

The MEGA AOR page has these listed with no max, so I dont think many have applied for this one. djmckinn also mentioned this card (only saw the suntrust one) I believe the one that is a ticking time bomb is the state farm card, but I could be wrong. I plan on applying for this one and the suntrust is a huge find.

15 mos 75 max biz card

I like this one too as a barclay/juniper biz card. I havent seen it discussed, but will be on my aor.

Well - not much luck with soft pull CLIs. Citi is going to be a problem in terms of getting a new card as the soft pull CLI already listed the reasons that I'll be probably getting denied for new cards:

"Your credit report indicates one or more of your account balances with other creditors is high, compared to the available credit.

Your balance is high on one or more of your accounts with us, compared to the total credit limit."

Anyway, so X for 3 on Citi CLIs, X for Advanta CLI, at least USAA went from 23k to 30k on soft pull. No current BT offers on any accounts. I will probably call Discover just before AOR and ask for soft pull CLIs too.

In order to maintain these rates, you must make payments when due and stay within your credit limit. The Introductory 0% APR does not apply to cash advances. Payments are allocated to balances starting with the lowest APR first. The Balance Transfer Transaction Fee is the greater of $10 or 3% of the transaction. However, for Accounts opened prior to June 30, 2007, there are no Balance Transfer Transaction Fees for Balance Transfers made within the first 3 months after your Account is opened. Once you become a Cardmember, we reserve the right to change your account terms should your credit profile change or for other reasons described in the Important Rate, Fee and Other Cost Information. For additional information about Annual Percentage Rate (APRs), fees and other costs, see the Important Rate, Fee, and Other Cost Information.

Grr - just got done w/ another mtg at work. I think it's getting very late in the day to start AOR today (it's already past 12 am ET and it's Monday). I might have to just get it all ready and fire it off at 6 am ET tomorrow morning.

Since my Citi's statement date is tomorrow 6/19, it won't be reported until at least 5 pm ET, as they wait for any payments on the statement date. Most likely in the fastest scenario - it wouldn't hit the CRA's until past midnight tomorrow night...

Eh - AOR 2.0 is much tougher than 1.0, esp. if you can't focus 100% uninterupted attention to it.

Called Discover, got a soft CLI from 6,500 to 7,750 on my 2001 card, which always reports a $0 balance. They wouldn't soft pull CLI my 2006 life of balance card just yet. Anyway, also got $1/purchase Cash Back on next 20 purchases, so at least something. Of course it took about 15 minutes to talk to them, so looking over lhendrick's AOR from 2 wks ago, he did it on Tuesday and most pulls came the same day, I'm definitely going to wait and do it all correctly tomorrow morning.

I'll start a new thread this evening, so that it's not mish-mashed together.

AOR 2.0 executed on 6/19 - read all about it

I will eventually make a summary post here concerning AOR 1.0, but it might take a while. Thank you all for contributing! I hope to see you all in my 2.0 thread!
