THis is probably a dumb question, or one answered somewhere else (which I haven't found yet) but why is MBNA billpay so good? Seems like all the credit cards have billpay, where you can electronically schedule a payment to another card or another bill. Is this one good because you get rewards? or because can you set payments up way in advance, like a year out for every month? I'm just guessing I havent found a thread about comparing billpays.

No, you don't get rewards, but it helps you delay the actual payment from your checking. It's (almost) an extra billing cycle.

I've found all my payees besides Capital One and RBS avaiable. Has anyone found a way to pay these through MBNA billpay?

You actually earn 25-55 days (1 month plus the grace period) of interest by delaying withdrawals from an interest-bearing account. Interests do add up, you know.

Also, if you pull your credit report daily and get familiar enough with which credit card reports to which CRA at which day of month, you can actually use MBNA billpay to hide a lot of your debt from the credit report. Something to think about.

Also, using the MBNA bill pay can serve to "compact" your bill payment transactions, let's say if you're trying to reduce the transaction per month in a limited savings account.

Question on billpay - has anyone used it to pay a Penfed loan? I recently acquired an auto loan thru Penfed, and it shows up as a creditor on Billpay's list...I'm going to attempt this this month, just wondering beforehand if anyone has done this w/success.

Pay my penfed mortgage with billpay every month. No problem. I don't think we need a 3 posts though on every possible debt we pay with billpay?!?!
