I'm interested in the MBNA billpay function. How can I apply the credit card? Anyone can provide the link? Thanks. |

I believe the Schwab or Merrill+ Visas are also handled by FIA... |

When I opened my Schwab card last year, it did not have billpay choice. I was able to unlock yummy billpay on the Schwab only after I created a new FIA login as an authorized user of my wife's Fido Visa that predated the merger. In other words, if you don't have it, you can't get it - unless you can do the AU thing. |

I seriously doubt Fido is any different than Schwab or Merrill wrt billpay choice. |

I applied for a Fidelity FIA Visa card in April 2007 and I have been enjoying the billpay choice ever since. |

I did not have an ex-MBNA card and am not/was not a AU on her ex-MBNA accounts when I got my Fido Visa a little less than a year ago. But it most certainly came with bill pay. Perhaps it has been changed subsequently. |

I wonder if this is just the case with the Fidelity accounts. When I go to the online thing for my ML card, I get a feature called "Bill Pay Choice" but it only lets me pay off my card (from checking) and no option to add merchants. Am I missing something here? I've also heard in the past that BOA will not let you do any account conversions on non-BOA branded cards. Anyone know if this is still the case? Edit: I just called the number on my ML card and asked about doing a product change to the Fidelity card. The lady sounded confused and put me on hold and came back and said they didn't manage a Fidelity card. I pressed and explained that both the cards were FIA, and that yes, they did have a Fidelity visa, but she insisted this wasn't the case. Huh? |

I assume that the ML and Fidelity cards have separate service centers/departments, so the ML customer service probably would not have any information on the Fidelity card. With the MBNA BillPay, you can only pay off the MBNA card from a checking account, but you can pay other merchants (including other CC's) using the MBNA card as the payment source. From previous posts, it looks like the ML and Schwab cards don't offer BillPay Choice -- only former MBNA cards or the Fidelity card offer that. |

OK, so who has a BofA checking account? Not here. It has been posted that if you have bill pay and open a checking account that it goes away. |

Well I think that's only a concern if you have a BOA-branded card w/ BPC (when you use the same login for online banking). That said, my dad's got an old MBNA-now-BOA card and a checking (both were open before the merger). Screenshot of what you get when you click on the "Bill Pay" tab, but YMMV. |

I do have a Charles Schwab card and BOA online account with me. So now even if I apply and finally get a fidelity Visa, I still can not have the billpay service? lhendricks92 said:WalStMonky said:^^^So wrong. Apply for a Fidelity Visa.

Whether that one has the "enhanced" BillPay features (i.e., ability to pay bills with BofA/MBNA credit cards) is obviously a YMMV issue according to account history (i.e., the more recent the card since the MBNA-->BofA website conversion, the less likely to have such a feature). I have such a feature for all my CS, MBNA (Fidelity 529, 1.5%, etc.), and BofA cards, but all these cards have long history. FYI. |

Wifey got a BofA card in 1/07 which did not come enabled with bill pay. I had her notify them that the card was ost, and they issued a new account #. The new account promptly showed up as a payment source. It didn't work when I tried it on one of my cards through my login. As I said, I don't have the enhanced bill pay on my BofA cards. |

My wife has a few BofA cards that were not be included in initial log-in. When we tried to register via the new log-in, those cards do not have the Enhanced BillPay. Anyhow, it seems random and a mystery as to which BofA cards have the feature. |
