Due to my error, I have set up a bill payment from an MBNA card that has a large 0% APR balance. MBNA says that they have no way of cancelling the payment since it's being processed now, but they might be able to dispute it after it posts to my account. Has anyone had luck disputing/reversing MBNA bill payment transactions due to customer error? |

How much are we talking about in incorrect payment to make it worthwhile. It believe it is just lost interest in the payment amount over the rest of the 0% promotion. |

I am going to lose 30% of what I was anticipating to earn from 0% balance. |

If you dispute the payment, don't be surprised if your BillPay account is frozen or terminated. |

I called Customer Service today, explained the situation, and asked for advice. She said that she can't cancel or revoke the transaction, and disputing might be fruitless, since I authorized the transaction. But she said that she can cut my purchase APR from 16% to 8%, which was good enough for me. |

Why is that important at all? |

The bill pay amount that was charged to that card is going to accrue the itterest at purchase APR. So reducing the APR by half will decrease my interest losses by more than a half (due to compounding)). |

No. You can use MBNA Billpay to pay only the merchants on the list provided at the web site. |

An on-topic question: on their list there is a certain DFCU Financial CU. Who is that? I am asking here b/c I am trying to fly under the radar and not to ask the CSRs.
I assumed it's DCU (Digital FCU) and the system won't let me set up the payee. It appears the account # doesn't fit this merchant's list. So my concern is in fact related to whether DFCU is the same as Digital FCU or not. As there is some evidence suggesting it's not, I wanted a second opinion.
Any ideas? |

I searched through the major Billpay threads, so sorry if this has been asked and answered, but is the MBNA Net Access/Billpay still alive for CC-funded bill pays? I had a Schwab card around the merger, but didn't find out about Billpay so I didn't get in pre-BoA merger. I did a Google search and the Net Access page directs to BoA Online Banking. Does anyone know if the BoA online payment system mirror MBNA's Billpay? |

Not sure if this is 100% new info, so I apologize in advance if it's already common knowledge: Barclays Bank Delware is now listed on MBNA/Bofa/FIA billpay - I don't remember it being there before, and I thought I had looked for it previously. Presumably this means that Juniper cards can now be paid through MBNA billpay, since Juniper is now a part of Barclays. I have set up a billpay for next week, and I'll report back if it goes through or not. |

Sorry all, but I'm still a little confused on how to obtain BillPay w/ CC float/pay option. Would the following be the right steps to go about getting it?
1. I have 3 BoA cards that I recently applied for, so I did not meet the 10/23 grandfathered in deadline. I do, however, have a Charles Schwab VISA from before the BoA merger.
2. Sign up for any BoA checking account.
3. Sign up for BillPay.
4. Look to see if the Charles Schwab card is available for the CC pay option?
TIA |
