Select the "Services" tab. "Services for this account" appears automatically. 3. Click on "Fees for this account. The annual fee is listed there. |

pnfisher said:I received a notice today that BofA will be adding a $29 annual fee to a card that I only use for BillPay. The card was originally the 10% Cash Back MBNA card from ~2003 -- it's morphed a few times over the years, and it's currently a generic 1% Cash Back card. Before the change kicks in (I have until December 7 to reject the change), I might try to move the credit line to my Schwab 2% CC (which also has BillPay). To provide an update, I phoned FIA this morning and asked a front-line rep to move the credit line from the BofA-future-annual-fee card to my Schwab card. The request took a few seconds for her to process, and the end result was that I was able to move all but $500 of my BofA credit limit to the Schwab card. She said it's common that $500 is left on the card that the limit is transferring from. I did not have to interact with a credit specialist (ie. credit ninja) for this request. I'll phone BofA separately before the deadline to reject the annual fee addition, which should result in the card being closed. |

I'll phone BofA separately before the deadline to reject the annual fee addition, which should result in the card being closed. I basically did the same thing, though I was transferred to a credit analyst after speaking with a front line representative. They actually moved my entire BOA line to the Schwab card, and closed the BOA account at my request. I'll follow up with a written letter to make sure the credit report states that the account was "Closed at the customer's request," but I was amazed at how simple the process was. |
