I did a live chat and the rep. confirmed the THZ3 deal. Said that it is one of the best promotions they have run. Asked if there were any other stipulations, and he said no. He did say that it would take 30 days to receive the credits. |

gave it a whirl even though i am not current BofA customer.
No Guts, No Glory! now, would a transfer from another bank count as Direct Deposit (to waive the fee on the MyAccess checking accnt)? |

^^ I did not call + ask. I asked an online rep, and he told me it would work even though I am not a current customer.
and i dunno what the thread about direct deposits said obviously, why else would I be asking? |

because you are too lazy to do it yourself?
why don't you call/talk to online rep/check the thread rather than ask here? where's your spoon so you can be fed?

Actually I contributed quite a bit...I took you from a forum abuser who when given two authorative sources for the question you had and one anecdotal source still asked to be spoon fed...
and i dunno what the thread about direct deposits said obviously, why else would I be asking?
to a forum contributer who is providing answers and giving back to FWF
for everyone else, ACH push does count as Direct Deposit.

So if I wanted to do this on super cheap/FW way, I would:
1. Open a regular checking account with a 0% balance transfer check (and no fees) for $1025. 2. Open a regular savings account for $25 (my money). 3. Transfer $275 to the savings. Now both accounts will be funed to the min req for no fees- $300 for savings, $750 for checking. 4. Get $125 bonus money after 30 days 5. Wait 180 days for promotional time to clear, close acconts and pay off BT. 6. Pocket $125+$25+interest on $300 (around $.074). |

FYI
The most they'll let you fund with a credit card is $1000 to checking and $100 to savings....I know because I just did it. |

15 pages of fee schedule--scary.
12 years ago I schmoozed the Asst branch Manager at my branch and have not seen a monthly fee on my (and my wife's) interest checking accounts since ... even though she (the Asst branch Manager--not my wife) has long moved on.
Now THAT's a good promo. Promo code "Social Engineering". |

How did you fund your account for $30,000 using credit card? Isn't the maximum you can fund with credit card $1000 for checking and $100 for savings?

I did this, but with a variation. I have a credit card with a high limit. What I did was fund BofA account for $30,000 combined in savings and checkings, with 1.5% Cash Back ($450 back), get the $125 in 30 days. =) |

Will the BoA credit card holder( without banking account) count as existing customer? |
