Apologies if this is repost - but I didn't find this topic discussed.

I actually was under impression that AT&T Rewards Card is being discontinued but I found promo on AT&T web site at: http://www.consumer.att.com/
Some of the benefits: Rewards (points) program, 2 free directory assistance calls a month and up to 30 free phone minutes a month, 0% APR on balance transfers for 12 months (however there's a balance transfer fee...)

Here's the link: AT&T UNIVERSAL CARD

Wrong rewards card dude.

what u all think about this???

"However, there is no balance transfer transaction fee on balances you transfer in response to this offer."

This card has already been discussed here and is already included in one FFGuru's consolidated CC threads.
The sign-up offer seems to alternate between $50 and $100 every few weeks so I guess it's worth noting that it's back to $100 again.
As for being discontinued, you're getting this card confused with their CASH rewards card.

$100 for a hard pull is a reasonable reward

Perfect timing. Approved online in 60 seconds. A 1st for me. I needed a no-fee 0% Credit card offer. I was just going through all my offers I got in the mail the last couple of months. This is by far the best. All the others wanted a fee of 3-4% and only lasted about 6 months at 0%.

Where does it mention the $100 giftcard?

It says at the top that you will receive 10,000 points after the first purchase within 3 months good for a $100 gift card.

The $100 has been there for at least 4 months, I got the card about 3 months ago, seems like a pretty stable offer so far.
For people that want to keep it for the 5x points on everyday purchases, it might be a good idea to check with the Thankyounetwork about the card, since it seems to have a 12 month period for 5x points and then they go down to 1x, not clearly described on AT&Ts website YMMV

Anyone know how long I need to wait to reapply if I already go this one and then used it and cancelled?

This card is being discontinued. I had this card and received notice a couple of months ago.

tholzer said: This card is being discontinued. I had this card and received notice a couple of months ago.

What does that actually mean for someone who is applying for the card now? They are just going to shut it down? If so, why are they even offering this?

tholzer said: This card is being discontinued. I had this card and received notice a couple of months ago.

Are you sure its THIS Rewards card? This one is with the Thankyounetwork, not cash. I have it and no notice of discontinuation whatsoever.

Thanx OP just what I needed.

tholzer said: This card is being discontinued. I had this card and received notice a couple of months ago.

It is the CASH card that is being discontinued NOT the REWARDS card. There is another thead that covers the discontinuance of the CASH card. I have the CASH card that is being discontinued. The link for the CASH card has already been removed from their site. However, there is a link to the REWARDS card. AT&T Credit Card Link

there is a $40 extra bonus from cardoffers.com

you need to register first

last time i got the $40 check

GREEN me if this helps you

DELETED

I'm a current card holder of AT&T UNIVERSAL CARD. I've received a notice in May that the card will be discontinued at the end of this month.

I think AT&T UNIVERSAL REWARDS CARD is changing the Rewards Program. Currently I can get CASH rewards when the rewards balance is $50+, and limit to $300 per year. Under the new rewards program, I think you can only get points, not CASH, and use the points to exchange gift cards. It's about the same as Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards Card.

I'm going to apply the new card next month when mine is closed.

EDIT: yes, my AT&T UNIVERSAL CARD is CASH card, not REWARDS card.

Just talked to a CSR re my new ATT REwards Card...just to reiterate - the 5 points for gas, food, Drugstore only last for 12 months and while the balance transfer at 0 is a good deal - it is not a good deal if you have any purchases on your card when you transfer a balance. The CSR offered to mail me a check for the full line of credit LOL - so I said this is really stupid - why not give 0% on everything including purchases otherwise I will have to use another card I have to charge a high ticket item and then transfer the balance and in the meantime charge nothing to your card - he said - well, not everyone has more than one credit card.....I have a big dentist appointment coming up and forgot to see if they will take my AMEX 0% on balance transfers and purchases for 15 months so I was hoping to use this card as a backup....the whole thing gets more complicated now as I have to use the card one time to get the 10k thank you points then pay it quick and not use it again till after the dentist. Planning to do a big grocery shopping tomorrow.

Is there an easy way to check if my application is accepted?

Who has already gotten the 10k points?

Thanks,
the kob

I Just got my 10,000 points at the same time as the first statement became available online - I've had the account about 3 weeks and already sent in for the 2 shell gift cards at 50 bucks a piece - will take 4-6 weeks to get the cards.

They are trying to screw me. I looked at my rewards today and noticed that the bonus points had posted only instead of receiving 10k points I received 6.4k points. Citi CSR confirmed that I signed up for 6.4k and not 10k. They are supposedly going to ask the rewrds dept. that I get the rest of my points and told me that I would receive a letter within 7-10 business days. I wonder if anyone else had this happen.

yeah. Called yesterday after seeing my bonus points for first time.
I only got 5600 bonus points from misc category.
I called and CSR basically said the same thing to confirm, but i told him to look at the main page of universal card to see the offer is 10k points.
So he put in a dispute for me for the remaining 4400 points. What the heck!
I am supposed to get a notice in the mail within the next week. Or he says i could call in 48hours. might do that.

Just to make sure: Is 5 Thank you points for gas/groceries only for first 12 months? or is it "forever" ?I cant see the 12 month limit mentioned above on this page att

I got 5600 points as well, so there is something odd going on here. Started the same dispute process tonight. Did you by any chance apply thru cardoffers.com? Regardless, let me know your result and I will do the same.

The fine print says there is NO transaction fee on initial BT. Green.

yes.
But this should not matter because the terms and condition over at cardoffers for the universal card says that I would also get the 10k points.
I'll let you know after i get time to call em.

Anyone know if the AT&T card counts towards your total max credit limit allowed by Citi?

i got the 5600 bonus points instead of 4400 too. sent them a note through their site, though i suspect i'll probably have to call eventually to get it resolved. definitely annoying.

I tried a follow-up call but the CSR stated that nothing had changed. It had been more than 48 hours, almost 5 days actually.

mhesidence said: Anyone know if the AT&T card counts towards your total max credit limit allowed by Citi?

This was my fourth citi card so I guess not. I have a diamond preferred, dividend, and AMEX card along with the ATT card I just received.

on top of that, they didn't report this card to cardoffers.com.

I got a letter concerning my dispute today.
classic promote one thing, do another.

Here's the main section of the letter:
blah blah
"Our records indicate your account was solicited to receive 5,600 bonus points with your enrollment in the ThankYou Redemptions Network. If you received another offer that stated you would receive 10,000 bonus points, please send a copy of that offer to us. Once we receive that information, we will review your account."
blah blah
Sincerely,

The letter didn't specify where i could send a copy of the 10k points offer. But the top left of the letter has some address:
Customer Service Center
PO Box 45218
Jacksonville, FL 32232-5218

I think i will send back a copy of their letter and a printout of the offer over at cardoffers to this address.
They have the offer on their FRONTPAGE! universalcard.com 10k points!
But here what cardoffers stated on their app site:
"Reward Program Details
Points per Dollar: 1 Point

Additional Points: Earn 5 points per dollar spent at supermarkets, gas stations, drugstores, and when purchasing AT&T consumer products and/or services. Earn 1 point per dollar spent on all other purchases.

Point Details: Points are redeemable for various merchandise, travel, experiences, gift cards, and more. See www.thankyouredemptions.com for more information.

Expiration: 5 Years

Yearly Limit: 75,000 Points
Bonus Points: First Purchase: 10,000 Points**

Bonus Points: Details: **Cardholders will receive 10,000 bonus points after their first purchase within the first three months, which can be redeemed for their choice of a $100 Gift Card or other rewards. "

Figures. I will probably get the same thing. One question I cannot get anyone to answer ... show me the offer for 5600 points. I get no answer ... just the same dribble about "our records show ...". I think I am going to close the acount out of principle. This REALLY sets me off. I NEVER thought about getting service like this from Citibank.

That's what I received as well. I called and asked for a fax number so that I could fax THE FRONT PAGE FROM THEIR OWN WEBSITE. I am still waiting for some sort of reply from then.

Chalk another one up for 5600 points! Where in the world did this number come from?

Boggles my mind, as well as the person who I reported it to, I will be proceeding further with this disapointment

And another confirmed today ... 5600 points. Already did battle with numerous website message exchanges, a phone call, and now a "Our records indicate" letter. What in the world is going on at Citibank ... actually trying to cheat customers? Not a good way build goodwill with new cardholders. I may cancel if this goes on much longer.

I was thinking of signing up so I called the application number. The person there told me the 5X points was only for AT&T purchases. Another person there told me it was 5X on gas, etc. for 12 months.

She told me to use the web site if it does not state the 12 months limit.

With this confusion and the 5600 reward points instead of the 10,000 points, I have to wonder how one finds out for sure?

Skipping 77 Messages...

First statement just cut and they only gave me 5600 points. Emailed them through the "contact us" link and they said I need to send them the soliciation. I told them it was an online promotion; hope they accept the screenshot. Thanks for posting it mrmakochan.
