DBTZ said: i didnt get such an email... anyone know if i will get it anyways?? I posted the same question on flyertalk(they have a dedicated SPG forum). Short answer is NO, if you havent received it so far there is very slight chance that you'll get it. I know it sucks...i'm in the same boat as you

i think i spend too much money on the card, btwn 5,000-10,000 per month, that they figure they dont need to send it to me!

Starwood does not need a sign up. From July 1, every $3000 in purchases get you 1500 bonus points.
Do you have a link to that promo?

Worked for me. Looked like double points is defined as one extra point on all purchases to me so this might imply triple points on things that are always double like groceries.

maxint said: anyone find anything for Sept???????????? I think AMEX stop the double/triple points bonus for regular purchases. Such really sucks... I only seen specific deals such as "spend over $100 at bananna republic for double points". Is it still worth paying $90/annual for the card?

That says you must be enrolled in Membership Rewards, it does not say you need to be enrolled in the promo. I enrolled for the May-June promo in late May, and received double points for all my early May spending.
That said, I have no idea if one can still enroll in this promo successfully since Aug 31 (the last date of the promo) has already passed.

Does anyone receive double points for the July purchases? I only received double points for everyday spend-grocerie, gass, pharmacy.
