Does anyone have a link to any details on the card? I called chase and the CSR wasn't able to find any info on the card. |

Citi MTVu also is great for Amazon, as all purchases at Amazon are classified as "bookstore" thus earning 5% back, which is more than the Amazon credit card . Although Dealpass GCs obviously beat this out, somethings at Amazon (Amazon payments) you cannot use GC credit for so I find it a great perk to go with the 5% back. All of your citi cards pool points in common. Card is absolutely fantastic when combined with premier pass to get 10% back (given you fly enough). |

Sounds nice, but a lot like Citi Professional. I had a bad experience w/ Chase and I can't stand having to deal w/ their thickly accented outsourced in India CSR's when I have a problem. I don't like repeating my question 3-5 times before the CSR understands what I'm asking so I think I'll pass and stick w/ Citi.
The only real added benefity would be the hardware and home improvement since my other cards give me the same or more for the other categories.
gas station, drug store and supermarket - I get 5% w/ Dividend and 6% for 1 yr w/ Driver's Edge Restaurant - I already get 3% from my AMEX/Costco True Earnings card. hardware store and home improvement - I can buy Home Depot gift cards for more of a discount than 3% Office Supply Store - Same 3% w/ Citi Professional. 1% everywhere else, all my other cards offer this.
I'm not bashing the deal, I'm not going to apply because I already get most of the reward categories w/ existing cards, and I can't stand talking to Chase CSR's. |

do you know if the rebates are credited toward each statement every month like the chase perfect card?
or do you have to accrue rewards, like the citi dividend? |

There is a very similar card being offered by Chase called the Flex Reward Plat Visa. Same bonus structure as Premier cash, except no points earned for office supply or hardware stores. edit: although no points earned for hardware/office supply, you do get 3 points back for drug store and supermarket purchases. |

I think all we are getting down to with the last dozen posts or so...
No card will suit everyone because they have different needs. Hybrid card with rebates in lots of different areas will generally lose out to multiple cards with a more singular focus. CC issuers offer similar rewards programs to compete with each. Very few users are best served by only one card unless they purchase very small amounts or purch from a very small amount of categories. |

Unless they have changed it recently, they only pay the cash rebate once a year. |

ok...just got the card. it is like the citi dividend - once you accrue $50, you can cash out...
now my other question is: can i use this card if i don't have a business? i didn't enter a business name when i applied. now that i have the card, and am trying to get an online ID, it's telling me i have to put ina business name...is this ok if i use this card for only personal use? |

I think you can just fill in your name as business name or even make a fake name. I don't think Chase cares about what is really your business name. |

This is great if it truly is a personal card. Citi's Professional card is idiotic in that it's in a category independent from both business and personal, making consolidation, conversion or reallocation to or from it impossible. Anyone tried converting to this card from another Chase personal card? |

Just applied for this card...didn't have an invitation number, but the CSR offered me a Chase Professional Visa with identical terms to this one.
I made up a business name and used my social as the tax ID number. |

I don't see why it wouldn't show up on your credit report, you're still responsible for the card, even if you leave your company. |

You are right, don't see why Chase would care whether it is a "real" business or not, but just as an FYI, the fine print at the back of the application says "By becoming a MasterCard BusinessCard cardmember, you agree that the card is being used only for business purposes." |

I finally got around to applying for this card. They said it's not a problem if you aren't a business owner.
But they didn't allow me to convert an existing personal Chase MC to this card. The excuse was that you can't convert reward programs from a personal card directly to this "professional" rewards program offer. Did anyone have any luck with that? They said all I can do is consolidate the 2 cards as soon as I get the new one, but the new terms of the consolidated card might not be the same as this offer, so I might have to just keep both separate, at least during the promotional rate period.
Does this sound right, or did I get a CSR who just didn't want to do a conversion? |

It sounds very right - everyone who tries has problems converting or reallocating. I had luck doing this by contacting the president's office via PlanetFeedback, and others have reported the same success. |

Got my card today. Start to think what stores qualify for 3% rebate. Chase said they do not have category but depend on the information merchants send to them.
I guess Office Depot, Staples, and officemax should be a office supply store. What else? |
