anyone know how where we can request a rebate check online?

I have heard this card does NOT report on personal CRA's. Can anyone confirm this ?

How does a credit card conversion work in terms of length of credit history with that card? I'm interested in the impact on a FICO score. Does it keep your original "member since XX/YY" date of the old card but they send you the new card with the new terms? Do you get to keep your old credit limits? Or do they make you start all over on credit history dating & credit limit? Do they make you cancel the old card so it shows on the credit report that it was closed?

Sorry for throwing so many questions at you at once. I'm just really curious as I've been reading tons of threads lately about credit card management here.

Well, I converted my Discover Card to Discover's restaurant card a few years back (before that card was discontinued), and they just sent me a new card in the mail. I kept the same account number and it appears exactly the same way on my credit report. I won't promise that it will work this way for all issuers, however. Talk to the CSR before converting.

Although Dealpass GCs obviously beat this out, somethings at Amazon (Amazon payments) you cannot use GC credit for so I find it a great perk to go with the 5% back. All of your citi cards pool points in common. Card is absolutely fantastic when combined with premier pass to get 10% back (given you fly enough).

Looking into the CITI cards all I see is talk of "points" not Cash Back. This card, the CHASE, is Cash Back for sure. Does one "point" on a CITI professional or MTVu card turn into $1 in Cash Back?

Anyone tried to use the check that comes w/ the card and deposit into ur checking account. What term did you get, 0%? I called CSR before I wrote mine, this last fri, but I want to know others experiance.

MtvU = 2.5% CashBack, 3-5% retail giftcards (only use the card where it gets you the highest CashBack.)

There are two Citi Professional cards one with Thankyou points and the other CashBack.

Read the brochure again, Chase gives you "Rebate points" that are now currently 3%. I would image that Chase can revaluate the points just like Citi did with Thankyou Points.

The only good thing is that Citi codes certain restaurants that don't give 5%, the Chase card fills in the gaps.

Did you write the check taht came w/ the card? Is the 0% on ur statement?

My cap fee is 75$ and 0% apr for 12 months also.

The reason I asked b/c I just got a renewal card (chase perfect card) and it also has a check w/ that. When I called and asked about the rate on this check, the CSR asked for the check # which is #2000 and then he told me that the APR will be the standard APR based on the check number.

However, the check that I got w/ the professional is also #2000. I just wonder if someone else who wrote the check... what rate did u get?

If you have no BT promotions on your account(Chase perfect) it would be the standard rate. I haven't received a statement yet, but the rate in the terms and conditions is 0% for the check attached including any others within the first 12 months. I don't know what you are not understanding.

I understand that perfectly w/ the chase professional...but I kind of confused when the CSR told me about the check # regarding the chase perfect card (Also I do have promo w/ perfect card if I log into my account 0% till May 1st). I believe everything should be fine I’m just looking for more assurance.

I just got this offer via mail. I applied online, and got a "we'll let you know within 30 days via mail" message.

Same Cash Back; same 12 mos BT, fixed rate of 9.99%.

Can anyone who has had the Chase Professional Mastercard for a few months let us know whether the card shows up on your credit report. If it is a true business card, it will not.

I am curious as well. Got the same offer and will only apply if this is a business card as I already have a citi professional card which is pretty similar.

Even true business cards show up on your credit report. I have an AMEX through my company which gets reported. As long as the account is in your name, even if it's a business account, it should be on the report.

I also have the Premier Cash Rebate mastercard. You do need a separate online account for it, which is weird and it shows up as two accounts: one being business and the other being you personally. So it looks like you can add other cardholders under the same "business."

Not true. I have several business credit cards and none of them appear on my credit report.

Applied last Tuesday and got a letter saying that it is approved on Monday. Got a huge credit line which makes me feel uncomfortable. I worry that it might not have 0 liability assurance program. I need to call them once I got the physical card. But would be appreciated if anybody knows whether it has 0 liability program. thanks.

I am not sure about the 0 liability but it's the first time I see someone posts about not feel comfortable to get a huge credit line.
I am pretty sure you can always call and ask them to reduce your credit line to where you feel comtable with.

In fact, this credit card does not have purchase limit, the huge credit line chase gave me is the limit on revolving credit (that is the balance that I can carry from statement to statement).

I worry that if the credit has been stolen and made a big purchase.............

All Mastercards are zero liability.

Regardless, Federal law limits your liability to $50.

This is one of the major advantages of carrying a credit card over cash. Steal my wallet with $500 in it I'm almost certainly down $500. Steal my wallet with $20,000 of available credit and I'm thinking what a pain it is to have to get my driver's license reissued. Perhaps how the wallet was a birthday present. Oh right, I have to call the issuers. The thief will be much happier too, so it's win win.
