Fixed 9.5% APR, no annual fee, and it nets me $40. It also keeps the banks I apply to spread out.

MilesHeighway's Fun-O-Rama.
After reading about all the fun AOR-ers are having, I decided to play!
Goals, in order of priority : (a) Build up credit lines and history, widen creditors portfolio. (b) Get bonuses (c) Broaden rewards portfolio (I am particularly aiming for lots and lots of TY points using the Citi Business Premier Pass, since I do about 60-80k miles a year on airlines, many on academic grant dough). (d) Possibly get 0% BT money (e) Have fun!
Pre-AOR Credit History 6 (9) years
Current Cards MBNA Worldpoints AU 44k (97) (I am an authorized user, it's my brother's card. I don't have the card physically and never used it) Citi Dividend Platinum 8.1k (00) (I used to have a 14k line on it, but I stupidly reduced it to 5k 2.5 years ago due to it being stolen. Bad move.) Chase UA Visa 4k (01) Advanta Business Rewards 5k (06) (4.5k 0% Bt till 10/07, the money is used to pay off a family emergency. I have sufficient funds right now to pay it off, but since I've already BT-ed it, I decided to keep the money in the bank to get interest instead since it is a business card and not reported to the CRA) Chase UA Signature Visa 12k (06) Citi Universal ATT (06) 4.7k (Applied Sept 06 to replace the devalued Dividend). 10k TY + 12month no fee BT 0% This is my trump card (pun unintended)
Pre AOR CLI : 33.8k (74.8k with AU card)
Banks : Citi Echecking/Esavings Chase INGDIRECT (For transfering funds between my banks, and do fake DDs)
Credit FAKOs from Truecredit TU 764 EX 787 EQ 765
FUN-O-RAMA
Credit Cards Citi AMEX Premier Pass (08/10) offer code F1J7. APPROVED 3k. 10k TY. 0% BT no fee till 10/07 Citi Hilton HH Visa (20/10) APPROVED 7k $30 CardOffers. 15k HHpoints (I was given a free Gold membership on 14/10, so I added this card later.) Citi Business Premier Pass MC (11/10) 6.5k APPROVED 15k TY. (Forgot Cardoffers). AMEX SPG (08/10) APPROVED 7k. $40 Cardoffers. 10k SPG points (+5k SPG points for 2 additional cards) AMEX Blue Cash (08/10) APPROVED 10k. $40 Cardoffers. 0% Purchases 6 month. Discover Platinum (08/10) APPROVED 4k. $40 Cardoffers. 0% BT no fee till 07/07. Got $1/purchase till $20 promo when activating BOA Worldpoints (08/10) APPROVED 5k. $75 after 1st Purchase. Chase Sony Card (08/10) APPROVED 4k $100 statement credit
These cards are deferred/denied Chase UA VISA Signature (08/10) DENIED (TOO MANY NEW ACCOUNTS)25k UA Miles after $250 purchase Citi Diamond Rewards MC (08/10) TOO MANY INQUIRIES Citi AAdvantage Gold (29/10) 20k AAmiles + 5k at renewal DEFERRED (mailed in promo)
After AOR, Extra CLI 42.5k. (not bad, and I still hope for those Chase cards to come through for me)
Banks + Stuff Bank of America 100MYA promo. $100 for Checking ShareBuilder $20 Ebates + ENTERTAIN50 $50 promo Chase 2nd Checking Account with DD $75 Mailed-in Promo (NOT DONE due to being too busy...need to go to B&M to do this) Fidelity $100 + 10k UA miles (Awaiting consolidation of BT money to open.)
Post AOR
After all the hits, my FAKOS are TU 747 EX 749 EQ 753
Unfortunately, I got lots of EX pulls, so that took a 36 pt hit. But all in all, not so bad at all. Had to hold back from applying even more cards.
Currently, the task is to now collect bonuses by making all the necessary purchases, and set up all the necessary autopayments. Thanks to Citi's free ACH, I set up a monthly $10 ACH transfer to the BOA bank account to maintain DD. I also set up 2 billpayments to Advanta and ING from Citi to get extra banking TY points.
The next step is to do the 0% BT to banks to make money. This is more tricky, and I may or may not carry out the entire procedure, since I might want to wait for better deals to come along.)
(a) Reallocate 7k from Citi Dividend, 1k from Citi UNIV, and 5k from Citi HH to Citi AMEX PP, to boost it to 16k. (b) Do a 0% BT of 8k till 9/07. (c) Reallocate 15k from Citi AMEX PP to the CITI UNIV to make it at least 23k on 10/07. (d) Do another 12 month no fee BT (since this is the intro offer) for 10k.
I am almost certain to do (a) and (b). But I might be buying a car next year, so I might short-circuit the BT 0% game to get my score up for that.
Man, this is fun. It's like playing SIMCITY.... |

djspray said:Goals: 1) AOR with Focus on sign up bonuses. With a relatively short(<2yrs), but gleaming(no late payments, student loan deferred) credit history with revolving accounts, I decided large CL's(for use with 0% BT offers) would be unlikely. Cash and Cardoffers checks are preferred, but with a consolidated school loan, TY pts are just as good with student loan rebates. Not huge on the miles thing, but maybe you can convince me otherwise. 2) Establish lines of credit with different banks for future AOR's. 3) A few lucrative rewards cards(Driver's Edge, HSBC)
HAVE Personal Chase Rewards Plus Visa (2,000) Citi Diamond Preferred Mastercard (4,800) Citi MtvU Visa (4,000) Discover Student Card (2,500) Business Advanta Platinum Business Mastercard (2,500) (Citi, Discover and Advanta's were obtained about 4 months ago)
DESIRE Personal AMEX Blue Cash ($40 thru Cardoffers) AMEX Preferred Rewards Gold ($40 thru Cardoffers, $100 gift card) BofA World Pts Platinum Plus($75 after 1st purchase) Chase Cash Plus Rewards Visa ($100 after 1st purchase) Chase Cash Plus Rewards Mastercard ($100 after 1st purchase) Citi Diamond Preferred (10k TY pts, and 2 per $ for 1yr) Citi Driver's Edge ($30 thru Cardoffers, and I drive a lot) Discover Miles ($40 thru Cardoffers and 12k miles) First USA United Milage Plus Visa (25,000 miles after $250) HSBC Direct Rewards Mastercard Pulaski Bank Gold Visa ($40 thru Cardoffers) Sony Rewards Card ($100 after 1st purchase) WaMu Providian (for monthly credit score) -Also BofA Checking (for $100 bonus)
Business AMEX Blue Cash Business ($75 thru Cardoffers) AMEX Gold Reward Business ($100 statement credit after $100 spent, $150 Tiger Direct gc) CitiBusiness with TY Network (15k TY pts) CitiBusiness PremierPass (15k TY pts)
Dilemma Current(10/17) FAKO scores are EX - 728, EQ - 707 and TU - 680. These have risen from 655, 643, and 673 since 7/17. I realize most who begin AOR's begin with FICO's in the 740+ range, but in hope of obtaining large credit limits and 0% offers for BT game. I am merely seeking approvals. I realize waiting another 2-3 months would solve this, but I am a little worried about a few of the bonuses disappering(mainly $200 from ill-fated 5% Chase cards). Resources like SIS's webpage, and other AOR threads have been a great help thus far.
Go or wait? Leave post or new thread for Bonus-oriented AOR? Also, suggestions for other cards/bonuses is much appreciated.
To be continued...
I am looking to do the same thing. Can you post the links you'll be using with the cards? Thanks and good work! |

You're right some are referenced. If it's too much trouble, I don't mean to be lazy, I can just search like everyone else. |

Here's the Wife's app-o-rama on 10/10/06 (objective - building her credit and getting bonuses ) (started this because she needed 5% Cash Back card from Chase after I maxed out the $300 rewards on mine)link
BEFORE: added as AU on my oldest card with 10,000 CL two weeks before 750 Victoria secret 1,250 WalMart 2,000 jcpenny's MC, CLI on same day to 5,500 2,000 Commerce bank MC, CLI on same day to 10,000
AFTER: 5,000 Chase Cash Plus Rewards $100 after first purchase 2,500 Chase Sony Card $100 Credit after first purchase 3,800 Citi® DiaPrefRewardsAmEx $100 after first purchase +no fee BT 2,800 Citi® DiaPrefRewardsMC $100 after first purchase 7,000 CitiBusiness $150 after first purchase + no fee BT 2,800 AT&T Universal reward $100 after first purchase +no fee BT 10,000 Blue from Americian Express $40 from Card Offers +$10 cardoffers signup bonus
-Denied Citi Professional Card $100 after first purchase -Denied because $0 revolving balances on Credit report -Deferred Discover Miles Card $40 from Card Offers - deferred want copy of recent bill mailed as proof of address (moved 6 mo. ago)
Total: $700 bonuses +4000 TY point for google checkout signup for the citi cards http://checkout.google.com/buyer/citibonus/ Plan to request CLI's every 6 months for her to build her credit (personally, CLI requested every 6 months helped me go from about 25k to 80k+ Total credit in in two years)
Waiting on the BT's unless we can use it to better position us to buy a house in 6 months from now. only real debt we have is 12,000 auto loan @6.25%, and 3,000 for her student loans now @7.3% but that interest is deductible.
My question at this point is if using her BT money to pay off the auto or student loans would be a wise idea? We will be looking for a mortgage using my income and credit (my score is 760+ and rising). If the auto loan was paid off would it put us in a better position as far as mortgage loan application? |

Either he applied for several wives in the same day, or he sponsored her with a K1 visa and married her just for taking advantage of her credit record (after creating it by adding her as AU on his cards).

I swear I thought I had posted this, anyway... I'm planning to do an apporama. What effect will applying for two cards from the same issuer have ? Will issuer limit me to $x total CL irrespective of whether I apply for one or both ? Or will the two applications be totally independent ?
Also, another apporama question - I'm planning to apply for some CCs by credit unions. Will me openeing up CD terms there help in the CC application being approved/higher CL ? |

BEFORE: 750 Victoria secret ....
This Card is da bomb.
This card sucks, they won't increase her limit past 750, and to make matters worse she added me as an AU without asking me a couple years ago and despite my asking to remove it it is still on all three CRA's on my credit report...guess I'll have to dispute it off. She had it before I met her, and knows not to apply for store cards any more.

I had the card a few years ago and they still send them. also good luck if she ever decides to cancel it, Took about 2 years and a dozen calls to get it showed as closed |

I reallocated with chase when both accounts were LESS than six months. |

My wife got a cash rewards card and a United Chase card and we reallocated almost the entire United line to the rewards card immediately. |

After my AOR, I got an offer in the mail to apply for Citi AA Card, 25k miles after $250 purchases, and no fee for the year.
Somebody stop me from getting more credit. Please. |
