Awesome. I called and I'm in.

Thanks OP!

I'm an AU on my wife's Citi card with ThankYou. Is there any way of directing my ThankYou points into her ThankYou account if I open up a Citi card so that we can maintain one pool of points? Anyone try this before?

I just got my card today, has everyone received 10,000 points after their first purchase, and 2 points for every dollar spent? Just curious, because there is NO info along w/ the card I just received that says I will receive bonus points for a year or 10,000 after the first purchase. This just might be normal, but I'm just curious. Thanks!

Didn't recieve any info with the card either. I haven't recieved my points yet but I haven't gotten my first statement yet either.

I am more concerned that CITI is only offering me 6.9% for 6 mos on this card now. I called 5 days ago to inquire about the zero percent. Told they'd check it out and change it IF I was right.

Do I just call again?

Got the 0% offer. Anyone have luck with the 10000 points yet on this offer?

Is this deal still alive? Do we still get $100 GC?

I received my 10,000 points just fine. I signed-up in August, then received them on my first statement (at the beginning of September). There was no information enclosed about which deal I signed up for when I received my card, but everything (including the 2 points/dollar) has been accurate so far. I supposedly have the 0% for balance transfers for one year, but have not used that (and probably won't).

Usually with Citi they give you their Thankyou points on the first statement. This has been the case with my Simplicity card.

I got my 10,000 bonus points and purchase points (at 1 point per dollar) on my first statement. I didn't get 2 points per dollar as the offer mentioned. When I called TY network, they said bonus points usually post separately, so I have to wait for few more weeks for them to post.
Has this been the case for others that have this card? Or, have all your points posted together in one lumpsum?

Thanks.

Got my 10k points with the first statement and my 2x points shown on the same statement.

Offer code F2J3 gives you 5,000 bonus points on first use and double points for 12 months. Also 0% on balance transfers until 10/01/07. Offer expires 11/15/06.

From my recent post in another thread --

Insert with my Citi checking/savings statement:

1-800-394-5814 by Dec 15, 2006
0% BT till 11/1/07 but 3% fee with $250 max (ouch)
6000 bonus ThankYou points with a $100 purchase in the first 3 months
Double ThankYou points for the first 12 months (2 pts/$1 spent)

$100 Statement credit with 10,000 ThankYou points makes this a 2% CashBack card for the first 12 months

I have been a FW lurker for months and I had been reading a lot about CC bonus offers and such. So I applied on Sunday night for the Diamond Preferred Rewards Card, following a link on their website, while checking my Citi Simplicity activity (on which I have 12 months of 0% APR on purchases). I was instantly approved with a CL of $4900. I'm eligible for 10,000 Thank You points (good for a $100 g/c), 0% balance transfers for 12 months (although the 3% transfer fee applies), and 5 TY points for every dollar spent on "everyday purchases" for a year (1 TY point per dollar after). On Monday morning, I received a call from Citi to "verify" my application which I did and to my surprise, I was offered a Citi Professional card as well, with 0% BT for a year, the 5 TY points per dollar for a year as well and another 10000 TY points good for another $100 gift card. That, along with my BofA Signature Visa with $50 statement credit after first purchase which I applied for last month and I have gotten an easy $250 with minimal effort. Pretty good!

I had applied over the phone. I guess that wasn't the correct approach, as I am only receiving 1% bonus on regular purchases. I did get the 10,000 bonus points, but I was primarily interested in the 2%.

Sigh.

Is there any way to get actual cash out of the 10,000 points? I see I can get a statement credit, but without 2% I'm done with this card. Point for point you need 20,000 points to get $200 statement credit. Below that and it's 7,000 for $50 and thus quite uneven.

I never frequent the GC stores that offer $100 GCs. Sigh.
