I'm sure I'll get red from those who weren't able to make it happen
I'm not sure what cards it applies to, or if it happens every time, but it happened for me twice
went to apply for citi business (the one with 10000 bonus) hit back button on my browser, and got a popup offering another 5000 if i don't back out and go apply, as in 15000 total bonus points to sign up just because i almost didn't
of course i had to do it after that
try it. if it doesn't work for you oh well atleast i tried
edit
does this work with any other cards? i can only get it to work with business card

It's really amazing when you can make it 10000+5000 = 150000

wow thats like $1500 in gift cards
anyhow, it seems i can only get it on business card, so ill change topic

I think this one has a whole 10 dollar bonus to sign up through cardoffers.com, every little bit helps...
maybe try OP's trick to use cardoffers, try to back out of app. for equivalent of 210 bucks....
by the way, OP, thanks for share...I will try in my august aor...!Tried. Doesn't work that way. Only applying through Citi's own site works like the OP said. By the way, it's not the back button that you have to click. It's the close window button, since the application opens in a new window.
Anyway, I didn't get an instant approval on either card, but hopefully this'll be an easy $310 for me. Green for you OP. Thanks!

i think he was making fun of another poster's typo of 150000 bonus points instead of 15000.

I can't see to get the popup. I tried both IE and Firefox. Does anyone have a link to the right page? Do I just close the application window? Thanks.

Ahh, I see. YOu have to click File->Close from the menu. You can't hit the red X at the top right of the form.
start a business. call yourself your name d/b/a/ fw'er d-luxe .
They are working hard to compete in the small business market like discover and mbna(bofa) etc.
everyone thinks its a the hot market. so run it.
absolutely 100% legal. Check your local city laws and tax person about how you can run your business with minimal costs and maximum gain. everyone's gotta hussle
most business cards dont show on credit reports.
my advanta and AMEX business don't. I'm hoping the citi and discover do not show either. we shall see.

I also got 15,000 TY points for one of these CitiBusiness cards, although it was a phone offer that a CSR ambushed me with while I was applying for a personal card.
I didn't mind, points is points.

The other citi business plain card also gets 15K thank you points.
Sweet quick and fast money.

Slightly OT: Can TY points be combined? Either from several Citi cards that are owned by one accountholder or even several different Citi cards from several different accountholders? I don't think I'm wording my question well...

just a heads up - i applied to citi business using the link supplied by rigor
i got a citi business platinum select card with a 14k CL, and 15,000 TY points without even making a purchase! according to the csr they should also be mailing me my 0%Bt checks shortly - this is a really great deal - thanks rigor!

If you have multiple TY cards, they all feed into one TY account, based on the primary cardholder.

My experience has always been that the inquiries show up, but not the actual cards.
i havent looked. i know my 4 AMEX dont and my advanta doesn't. but i've got a citi and discover business i'll have to go pull credit and see whats up in a month or so.
From the T&C as posted on the repost thread:This offer is available only if the Business does not already have a CitiBusiness® Card and, within the previous 90 days, has not applied for or received a CitiBusiness® Card. Did Mark or anyone else who applied for this card already have a citi business card?
I have a Premierpass business elite with a $50K 0% non-reporting balance on it, and I would apply for this card if there were good reason to believe it might work and not foul up anything else.
My wife applied a few weeks ago for 2 personal Citi cards and the Professional card. She got 7 new cards total from all lenders but I haven't checked her credit report yet to see how many inquiries stuck. Since this was for another 15K ThankYou points, she applied for this today as well. Citi did not do an instant denial, but they did say 30 days for a response. I'm wondering if she has too many inquiries or new lines open.
Has anyone seen an instant approval on this line? Should I call to check status so I can make sure I get the card?

Same here, would like to know if I can apply for CitiBusiness, Premierpass business and/or other business cards.

Thanks!I applied both the CitiBusiness Card and the CitiBusiness PremierPass Card at the same time. Both were approved and it was an easy 30,000 TY points for me.
I think you should be able to get the bonus TY points just fine by applying for the CitiBusiness Card while already having a PremierPass card.

It's relatively easy. After hitting submit button for the application, if the webpage asks you to check your options like online statement, photo card, online account then you are more than likely accepted. If it doesn't then it more than likely that card was rejected(Based on my past experience).
Little off topic but: i applied for this 10000 TY cards in feb 2006 and 5 citi cards were rejected, The only card that was accepted was Advantage with 10000 AA miles(This was my first card from citi in my then 2.5 years of credit history-I still consider this was one of the biggest mistake). I immediately converted it into simplicity Rewards(with no 0% and no TY points). I have been paying citi every month in full and now in October, i applied for 7 citi cards during my recent App-O-Rama and 6 were accepted(rejection reason was can't apply for more than 6 cards in 60 days!!). I am going to bag around 60000 TY points and 15000AA miles from this cards apart from the interests on BT's if everything goes right.

Did Mark or anyone else who applied for this card already have a citi business card?Note the overall context of this portion of the T&C:If this application for an Account is approved, a specific credit line will be assigned based upon my credit report and/or the credit report of the Business. Once I receive the Card, I must contact Citibank if a higher credit line is desired. I understand that Citibank may require that I submit additional documentation, such as the Business's financial statements, in order to process my request for a credit line increase. The Authorized Officer must be 18 years of age or older. This offer is available only if the Business does not already have a CitiBusiness® Card and, within the previous 90 days, has not applied for or received a CitiBusiness® Card.Based on the entire paragraph, it seems they are saying that the opportunity to increase the credit limit is subject to the 90 day/prior card criteria. Anyone else read the terms like this? (Off to don flame shield before the "what did they say when you called" crowd pipes up).

All 5 apps were deferred decisions and I doubt all 5 are going to be approved (esp. since g/f had only 1cc w/MBNA previously). So I would say that the options pages are a bit misleading. I might be wrong, if she gets all 5 cards

Called Citi tonight to try and do a BT on my new CitiBusiness card. They said I could not have money transferred into a Business Checking account - and if I tried to request a check, make it out to myself, and deposit into a checking account, there is a chance it will bounce. Doesn't seem to make sense to me. Anyone done a BT check from Citibusiness card direct into personal checking account?
