If CL is 10K on C1 and 10K on C2 , I guess reallocate is 19K on C1, 1K on C2(still open). Consolidate is 20K on C1 and C2 is closed. |

What's the difference?consolidate - take limits from 2 cards and combne into 1, closing the other. reallocate - move limits between cards, keeping both open. |

My opposite-o-rama showed me that it's not just score that detemines if you get approved... It's like they multiply a few fractions together to determine if you'll be approved or not... Sorry to get all mathy here... But I'm thinking it's like this... Your CS is 700, so you get 700/850 as your fraction of "good credit risk". Then, you have 5 recent hard inquiries, so your fraction on that measure is (6-1)/6 or 1/6. Your UT is blah, blah, blah... you get the idea. Multiply these fractions together together and you get a smaller fraction -- you're not such a great risk. Multiply a bunch of fractions together that are all close to 1 (1=perfect), and you get a fraction that is not as small... not a small fraction = approved.
Maybe it's an if-then statement... If you have more than 4 recent hard inquiries, then you don't get approved... If your UT is greater than X, then you don't get approved
There's gotta be something like that, 'cause I had a decent score, decent utilization (not great, but not bad), a fair number of recent inquiries and didn't fare at all well in getting new accounts.
I realize recent inquiries and UT are already IN your CS, but from what I could tell from talking with underwriters, they counted some of these items double or countd some of them as a fatal flaw. |

Good run Raven!
... if my math is right, you could combine Chase limits into $80k or more for a single BT. I don't know if they'll balk at a CL that high, but it's worth a shot.

Might be safer to keep them lower... If the new limit for reallocations without a credit pull / credit analyst getting involved is $50K, I could easily see having two $40K lines, say one personal and one business. Might be worth the peace of mind to pay an extra $75 for a second BT.
You'll also want to ask the CSR about the rules re: reallocating between business and personal credit lines. Believe I've read something recently indicating that people were unable to move from Business to Personal but had no problems going the opposite direction.

Just received another approval today for a card that I forgot I applied for: Citi Business Premier Pass $4K limit; another $10 from Cardoffers + 15000 Thank you points. That makes 20 for 20 approval.

You sure about that? I only see 0% for 6 months and a 3%/$50 max BT.
Still 31K, nice. If I may, what House hold income did you put? Did you request any BT with this (or other) apps?

It's actually pretty easy. Citbank will send you a check to be deposited into your bank account with no fees. Chase used to be more difficult but I called them today and they are also sending out checks that also can be deposited into my bank acount. They charge a max of $75 for BTs so it's best to reallocate as much as you can to 1 or 2 cards.

Yeah, I'll have to check Jupiter. That did sound a little good to be true but I'll gladly take 6 mos for $50. I reported $210 for houshold income. I didn't request a BT with the application or any others. $31K is the highest CL I have ever received and really suprised me considering this was the last of 20 applications submitted. |

This was targeted and came with a BT check that I was able to deposit in the bank with no fees. Keep an eye out for it. |

And you negged my on-topic post for what reason exactly?
You do this often. Put more effort into your posts and people won't flag you with red. Be glad someone took the time to spoonfeed you. |
