1-888, not 1-800.

This guy I called doesn't know anything about an offer code or $50 credit or the 6 points/everyday purchase dollar. He said he'll just run it and I should call customer service to check it out.

I guess I'll do that...

I'll edit my initial post, thanks....

I didn't notice this until now, but for the initial $50 bonus, it says they give you 6,000 points--which would mean that this isn't really any better than other 5% rewards cards. However, if you're close to your yearly cap it's another $600 in potential earnings, and a $50 bonus....

Chase is notorious for advertising a deal and when it comes time to pay up they say, "Oh you were misinformed" Its happened twice to me already.

Looking at your ad scan, the 6 points are for "gas, grocery and drug store" purchases, not everyday purchases.

I called to apply it, but I was told that no $50 bonus after I mentioned the offer code.

in terms of credit card classifications, gas/grocery/drugstores are considered "everyday"

any proof you dont have in writing is worthless, if you can fax proof into our corr. dept they will honor that but if you dont have that you are in a he said she said situation. and your gonna loose.

wouldn't the add above be suitable "proof"?

Given the hassles people are having, I think I'll pass and stick with my Citi Driver's Edge Card that also gives 6% back for 12 months and a $40 bonus from cardoffers.com.

Has anyone gotten this card? 6 points from Super WalMart (and gas, supermarket, drugstores). Offer is about to expire.
