Truecredit shows all soft pulls done by banks on mine I just signed up for Truecredit and I see the hard pulls but no soft ones. I have a separate (i.e., not through True Credit) Trans Union report full of soft pulls, but *none* of them appear in the Truecredit 3-in-1.
Where do your soft pulls show up? Any particular spot to click on?
You click on Report an Inaccuracy, then do an Online dispute. You go thru a few screens, but eventually you get to an investigate screen, and it will pull a full TU report. It works with EX also, but you have to enter all your info again. Sometimes I will get an error, but it just worked for me w/ EX and didn't before, and I got an error w/ TU just now, but it usually works. (I think I did 2 pulls on TU within 24hrs w/ TC already.. ) EQ lets me see softs w/ their CWG service. I paid 69.99/yr and I can get a prorated refund.. |

UnixLab said:One question here. I am trying to do this so called "bumpage" with True Credit by update my credit report everyday. I am wondering in most of the case, how many days later you will see the inquiries bump out? I remember people were saying your credit report can only record certain amount of inquiries, that is why with X times of your soft pull will bumpage the 1 hard inquiry out. But what is this certain amount possibly be? I know if you have 30 inquiries, so you probably have hit the limit and you can do bumpage. What if you only 1 inquiry, are you still able to do bumpage? In my experience, around 100 inquiries are required to get *b*. [TU] Inquiry from May 7, 2007 was bumped off around June 25, 2007. During all that time I was pulling TrueCredit almost daily, and during part of that time I was pulling Chase Identity Protection (they are reselling TrueCredit) almost daily, plus a few other sources of pulls, such as alerts and other trials. I would say that around 100 inquiries are required to get *b*. Inquiry from May 14, 2007 was bumped off on July 3, 2007. TrueCredit all of that time and Credit Secure part of that time. [EQ] Inquiry from August 2006 is still not bumped off, although almost all of the soft inquiries that appear on TU also appear on EQ. You can make *b* more intensive by using several products simultaneously. I can verify that TrueCredit, Chase Identity Protection, and Privacy Matters (these are all essentially variants of TrueCredit) each generate distinct soft inquiries on TU and EQ. Obviously, Credit Secure also generates distinct soft inquiries. One nice thing about Chase Identity Protection is that you can get almost 1 month free, so that's about 20-25 soft inquiries. If you don't mind spending a little extra, you can triple-intensify *b* by subscribing to TrueCredit, Chase, and Credit Secure at around $12 each. Privacy Matters is too expensive. You can check soft inquiries as follows: [TU] - once a month, by requesting a credit file dispute through TrueCredit. Once a report is pulled for dispute, you can see that report for 30 days, and you can only update once that 30 days are up. [EX] - in real time, as many times as you want, by requesting a credit file dispute through TrueCredit ONCE and then recording the ID of the report. You can later pull the refreshed version of your EX report by entering the report ID and some personal info. This comes in handy when you are applying for credit, e.g. via AOR, and want to check how you are doing in mid-flight, so to speak. [EQ] - you can get daily complete reports by subscribing to Equifax Credit Watch Gold from EQ own web site. No scores, no frills, just ability to see your complete report. Some other useful features: TrueCredit - Lock your credit report. This is like a security freeze, but can be turned on and off in near-real time. Your file gets marked with a comment and supposedly is not available for new hard inquiries. Experian - Consumer initiated security freeze. You can do this by mail and you receive a pin number. Using the pin number, you can unlock your file, but supposedly that make take 3 days. Again, supposedly your credit file is not available for new hard inquiries. |

Bumping this thread for an up-to-date recommendation on the best overall credit monitoring service for reports and bumpage; not that interested in scores. I'm in the PM123 trial right now, but it looks like PM123 is $29.95/month, which seems a tad steep. Wisdom? Follow-up: Anyone had any success disputing hard inquiries? Seems like it would be easy enuf to send simple dispute letters to the 3 CRAs for each and every inquiry and see what happens. If, say, 25% came back unvalidated or something, that's a pretty big win, besides costing the CRA's money, which seems a win in any case. Experience? |

If you claim you're not making the inquiries, who is? I know supercreditman disputes inquiries, but I don't know how he avoids fraud alerts. As far as best monitoring service, I prefer Credit Secure. I think it's the only daily 3 bureau pull service that let's you pull once a day, not once every 24 hours. You can pull at 11:59 PM and again at 12:01 AM. |

lhendricks92 - dont be so scared of fraud alerts...they are actually your friend...once on, any dispute on 1 bureau must be notified to the other two (that is what EX rep in spl handling told me). Its also the easy way to get anything off your report - even derogs. |

The risk is a fraud alert placed on your file. If you claim you're not making the inquiries, who is? I know supercreditman disputes inquiries, but I don't know how he avoids fraud alerts. But I don't have to claim that. All I have to do is demand verification, and if the CRA can't get verification from the originating agency, they have to take the inquiry off. I assume there's a certain failure rate associated with that verification thing - even if only 10 or 20%, it would be worth it.... |

I know AUs are taboo, but I have a question. I allowed myself to become an AU on my wifes account. Now the AU is reported on my CR. I just recently had the AU removed with the creditor, but how does the AU get removed from my CR...does it: 1. remove itself after a certain time? 2. Do i have to file a dispute. If someone knows how could let me know, that would be great...thanks. |

For me, this is the second time in a year this has happened. I have found it a hassle to dispute their errors. Compensation? |

Just found AT&T Wireless gave me a hard inquiry on 9/30 last year, but I didn't do anything, I have been an At&T customer for over 4 years and never late for the payment. Does anybody know the reason or how to dispute? Would it affect my credit score? Thanks. |

I'm not sure but that may be standard protocol in the cell phone industry to do hard inquiry whenever you sign up for a contract |
