well that was fast... I applied late Friday evening and the new account showed up online this morning next to my Rewards Plus account. The "available credit" limit is pretty close to the amount I requested in transfers. I've never had a NPSL so this will be interesting for me. |

Just echoing SIS's question, does CL report correctly to the bureaus? |

SUCKISSTAPLES said:because some of these "no preset spending limit" cards dont report a credit limit, just the high balance (like CrapOne)
My Chase Visa Signature cards did not report the credit limit on my CRs at first (only high balance), but after I did a dispute they started reporting the limit. I just opted to do a quick online dispute since I already had the option and one dispute to Experian got it changed on all of my credit reports, but people here have said that all they had to do was call Chase and request that they report the limit. |

hmm...so perhaps this is a sneaky scheme for otherwise prime issuers to hurt peoples credit scores by reporting high balance instead of credit limit... |

Perhaps Luckily though at least Chase is pretty good about reporting actual CL when asked unlike *cough* Crap1 *cough*. |

I applied for the signature VISA and the credit line was within $400 of the BT requests. I went online after recieving the card in the mail and requested and increase to 15K. It was approved instantly, went from 10.5K to 15K maybe I should have asked for more... I have several lines that are 19-15K. |

Yeah, I got a $10,200 limit when most of my other limits are in the $20K-$25K range so I went online as soon as I received it and asked for a CLI to $20K. I wasn't approved instantly and they did a hard pull on EQ, but the next day I logged into my account and noted that my increase was approved to $20K. It was probably worth the hard pull to shore up some utilization.

so the Visa Signature is a chargecard which we must pay in full everymonth, and with 0% on purchase that mean we can get around that pay in full every month until 03/2008 right? To make the question simple, we can pay the minimum until the 03/2008 correct? Since there is no preset limit of CL then that mean the future months to come we can make more purchases and still be able to pay the minimum and dont have to face any interest until 03/2008 right? And when before it reach 03/2008 we pay off everything and nothing or other fee/interest being charged on us too right? So if anyone know about this plz talk about it more. Thanks. |

Did you guys BT into a checking account?
I have the same mailed offer and see no mention of that possibility. Which raises the following question:
For those of you that have received the card, are you able to continue to make balance transfers under the terms of the original enrollment offer (0% and no fees)? Chase is known for allowing BT to checking accounts on offers for existing accounts.
The ability to continue to transfer, even to other cards, after the initial application would be quite valueable, especially to those that have been able to increase the credit limit of the new card. |

See my post above. They generally don't report the limit on the "no preset limit" cards but you can ask them to do so and they will. |

When I called to activate my card, I asked for and received a small increase in my credit limit because the CS rep asked if I wanted to transfer any more balances. She said it was 0% until March 08 just like the mailed offer, however, she said there was a 3% BT fee. Its been a week and there is apparently no transfer fee. It might show up later I guess but it seems like the initial offer is still good. |
