I used code MGCH with CITI by calling the 8-hundred number. Everything went very well from the beginning. The teller said that you have just open checking with $1500 and already qualify for the first $100.

Before that I went to a CITI center and they were not able to use the promo, but offered a different one with a half of bonuses.

Dude, it'd be great if you could let us know if Citi is indeed honoring their promise for these bonuses. Check this thread out http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/messageview.php?catid=52&threadid=573247&highlight_key=y&keyword1=checking+account to see some of we fatwalleters being 'cheated'!

I think I'll bite as well. I just called CITI and got a guy who gave his direct number promising that there wont be any issue in me getting the bonuses or I can call him directly to get it resolved.

Sure, I already marked my gmail calendar. When called to CITI they proved that my account marked with the code and nothing should keep it from receiving the bonuses.

The better issue those to me, I'm planning on getting a CC from them after 6 months of positive history.

Exactly two months after I deposited more than $1,500, CITI credited my account with $100. On the next day I transferred all but the bonus to my savings.

I did check a couple times during the waiting period whether the account has the promo code in notes.
