When Capital One changed the their No Hassle Cash rewards structure on me they gave me 5% on all purchases everywhere for 6 months, which is just about to expire. It would be nice if Citi would do the same thing.
My NoHassle Cash used to let me choose the 3 stores I wanted 3% at, then 1% everywhere else. Pretty cool little card for 3 stores (ie, Newegg), but alas, it is gone now, so I am taking advantage of the 5% while it lasts. |

PS: I asked the last CSR about the Dividend card, and she confirmed the 2% across the board for ALL purchases including convenience stores as Nummerkins mentioned. She suspects that older card members will be affected directly first, then the recently aquired cardmembers to the Dividend card. I may look into the *Chase Cash Card* as previously mentioned
Sorry about the lenghth of the post. Kinda frustrated with Citi.
I'm not clear on the rebate change. Is the Citi Dividend changing to a flat 2% card? Or is the 2% only for certain categories such as utilities, cable, and convenience stores? |

So far CSRs have said:
1) No change 2) 2% supermarket/pharmacy/gas/convenience and 1% elsewhere 3) 3% supermarket/pharmacy/gas/convenience and 1% elsewhere 4) 2% accross the board
Looks like Citi CSRs don't even know what's happenign |

She told me that it was 2% for Gas, supermarkets, drugstores, utilities, cable and convience stores. No mention of any other purchases. Sounded like she has received some kind of documentation aka memo previously. I would assume 1% or less for all other types of purchases. Of course, right now these are just rumors to us cardholders until if and when when receive a notice. I would suspect If we do, it would be next month. Citi's site says:
SPECIAL NOTICE:We are currently upgrading portions of our website, and it may be unavailable from 7:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, August 19th to 8:00 a.m. ET on Sunday, August 20th. We apologize if you experience any inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
The Dividend card is not on the website anymore, so maybe it will show the changes Monday morning. |

I think this is partially a result of high gas prices. |

In fact, all CashBack cards are gone...only TY network cards are left. Happened on Monday. Ugh, I should have applied for replacement cards for my AT&T Universal's while I had the chance . |

Yes, these prices in the 2.60 and 2.70 's are killing them. |

The irony is there are banners up at some stations that advertise this card because it saves 15 cents a gallon (places where gas is $3/gal+) |

The way Citi does their rebates is every purchase gets 1%. You get an additional 4% in certain categories. Same thing for the Professional card. 1% base and then 2% extra to get the 3% total. I guess we need to clarify if Dividend is going to be 1%+1% or 1%+2% like the Professional Cash card. |

Nobody knows what will happen yet. The supervisor I talked to said these changes go into effect Oct 1. No firm word on whether Citi will introduce a replacement product or continue the name. |

Has anybody used the Citi Dividend Merchant Network? It looks like they offer some merchants that are "competitive" to FW's CB Stores. There are some merchants that are not listed in the Stores section.
Experiences? |

Especially since some of the merchant fees charged by credit card companies are based on the transaction amount... |

the experation date on your card means absolutly nothing... they can/will change terms and even close your acct WAY before your exp date. |
