I haven't received any notification from American Express except the screen that told me that I had won 2 tickets for September 15th & that it would be shipped via DHL, I noticed on the screen that there were 2 buttons that could be pressed the one on the right said "cancel" , does anyone remember what the left one said?

Also if anyone receives a confirmation email please post it on the board!

Reading this thread pisses me off since it's pretty obvious a lot of people are just hijacking tickets because they can, even if they can't use the tickets themselves.

Seriously, if you don't plan on using them yourself, don't jack them in the hopes that you can sell them on craigslist or some crap. Especially since you're not even going to be getting the tickets until almost the last minute-so it'll be next to impossible to ship them out to a buyer in time. Good luck trying to sell tickets without any info as to even where the seats are!

I swear, if people get the free restaurant meals even though they live in Alaska and won't ever see NYC in their life, just so they can try to resell the meal on craigslist I'll personally hunt them down and kick them in the gonads. Seriously, some idiot is going to try to eBay a free meal, I can see it already.

BTW, this is off topic but myAmex why would you get 2 sets of 2 tickets to different shows? They're on the same night, so you can't see both. Did the first show sell out when you tried to get the second set?

Anyways, if you got more free tickets than you could use yourself, invite some friends. To just grab tickets you and your friends don't plan on using goes against the whole spirit of the promotion. Yes I know this is FW, but seriously once in a while what you get out of it is a lot less than what someone who genuinely would appreciate the free tickets would get-so it's honestly a waste.

And if you think I'm posting this because I didn't get tickets-it's not. I actually scored 4 tickets to the Producers, but I know a LOT of other NYC area AMEX cardholders who were pretty disappointed and it's a little unfair to them if the whole reason why they couldn't get tickets is because someone in San Diego decided to take them even though they can't use them.

I read the same thread and didn't get that feeling. Not that it wont happen as it does with everything else but I don't see anyone bragging about that.

You, yourself said that you got 4 tix, which means that you used 2 different cards. What makes you better than MyAmex for doing the same thing? Maybe he couldn't get the same show to take additional family members so he selected another show? If you got more than 2 why can't others?

Am I bummed that AMEX doesn't like me, sure. However, life goes on. I never got any of the wishlist stuff either, EVER.

Well said! I had gotten in for 2 Phanton tickets!

Called AMEX and they said they should be shipped out on Tuesday. Thanks Cirrus for your post-it's true, people hord these tickets and don't use them. I went to the US Open and saw plenty of empty seats in the nose-bleed section where the AMEX tickets were. Why would anyone pay for a sold-out stadium and not show up? I figure there were a lot of "membership changes everything" winners that just didn't bother to show up. What a shame. Someone else that really really wanted to go could've had them but nooooooo.

Does anyone want to swap tickets-I really wanted to go see Wicked and they sold out. I can trade in my Mamma Mia or my friend can trade in his Phantom if interested. PM me-thanks.

Shipping out Tuesday for tickets to a Friday showing? That's cutting it really close.

Did u receive any emails yet from American Express?

alert mods

Still didn't receive anything, called AMEX # 866-681-SHOW and recording said tix should arrive by Tuesday waited on hold to talk to someone, but after 15 mins gave up.

Yah, I guess that's why they're shipping DHL. But it does prevent people from reselling the tickets, I guess.

I spoke with Live Nation customer service and they were able to confirm that I did win 2 tickets!

I'm going to be in NY from the 14-17th for my cousin's wedding. I was really hoping to get a pair of show tickets to take my Mom while we were there, but didn't get any. If anyone can spare a pair, let me know -- I don't really care which show... I'd pay shipping ++, or could maybe pick them up in NY if that's easier.

A coworker who got Wicked tickets received them yesterday so they have begun to send them out. Think she said they came via DHL. She lives in Manhattan. BTW, they are orchestra seats row Z.

I wasn't bashing myamex-that part of my post was off-topic (and it said in the post that it was off-topic), I was just curious why he got tix to 2 different shows on the same night.

And I wasn't bashing people for getting more than 2 tickets, I'm bashing morons who don't live anywhere near NYC, and don't plan on being in NYC who are just taking tickets away from people who could actually use them.

BTW, the reason I got 4 tickets is because I got 2 for myself and 2 under my mom's account for her she's wants to see the show too and I'm just better at grabbing tix. I didn't hijack a ton of tickets for some lame resale attempt.

Sad that so many US Open tickets went to waste =(

Did she get a tracking # by e-mail? I haven't gotten any tracking e-mails, so I'm curious if the tickets just came without warning. Since they're being overnighted this might be a possibility.

Come on. They gave out 5000 tickets. I got 2 for myself and 2 for my friend (he was working.)

lol how many times do I have to post that I wasn't bashing you before people will believe me. Trust me, I don't care how many tickets one person gets so long as they're gonna actually put em to use. It's hella hard to get more than 4 anyway, unless you have a ton of distinct AMEX accounts at your disposal for some odd reason.

Heh screw it, I'm gonna get 5 dinners then eBay them all for profit!

oh please... from last call:

'Oh my god, is that a Black Card?'
I turned around and replied, why yes but I prefer the term
African American Express

Thanks, is that near the front? Orchestra Row Z? Sounds like they might be back of the orchestra pit?

Ah, ok, just checked the seating chart, yes they are.
