Did anybody get the tickets to Kanye West? Just curious how tough it was.

The system glitched on me a little, my mother and me have separate card accounts but it blocked my mom after I got tix. It might have been because the server was going nuts, but it might have just been blocking because we have the same billing addy. The terms don't say that separate accounts at the same address can't participate but that seems like how they're running it.

I think the tickets ran out after a couple minutes, so it wasn't super easy, but it wasn't super hard. Probably because not that many people knew about it.

Of course, now that it's been posted here I'm sure those US Open tickets will be next to impossible to get.

The one you'll have the best shot at is probably the Fandango tickets, they're giving out a lot of those over several days, so you'll have quite a few shots at it.

BTW, AMEX rocks so hard it's not even funny. This kinda makes up for all the crazy changes they've been implementing (no more double everyday points, no more BVG, etc.). Of course, it only makes it up for us New Yorkers, the rest of the country is screwed

Wait a minute, that's a great idea, I think AMEX should just keep cutting benefits, and use the savings from the rest of the country to fund awesome events every week for New Yorkers to go to. That would be hilariously awesome, because then I'd be eating free and going to shows for free while everyone else no longer has insurance or bvg or points. Bwahahahahaha

BTW if anybody wants my Kanye West tickets, that'll be $90000...each. Since you can't actually get tickets any other way (not sold anywhere), they're technically priceless!

Wow unbelievable, already 20 listings on eBay...people are lame as hell.

Technically all those listings are illegal since NY state law limits you to a $5 markup on these tickets-the face value is $0.00

Actually, nevermind these jerks all appear to be non NY state people...who obviously just jacked tickets for resale on eBay. And the law only applies if you're selling it in NY state. *sigh*

uh, a dumb question. Is blue cash rebate the same thing as blue cash? I was wondering if I'd be able to get in on the tix with my blue cash card.

thanks in advance!

I tried to get Kanye and got the boot! Was majorly bummed as I would LOVE to have gone to that concert. If anyone who got them needs a date, drop me a line LOL

Seems I am destined to get $%*(&^ by AMEX every time they offer a "perk."

do you have to apply for a NEW card or are existing cardholders eligible- and if so, which cards are eligible?

I called today, and the csr basically said that if it's an AMEX, then it will work.

you can check eligible cards here: http://www.membershipchangeseverything.com/global/eligibility.jsp

Thanks for the info! $75 for dinner isn't very much to go for 6 people.... I guess, bring fewer friends!

I'm going to guess that they're not great seats lol. Free tickets aren't gonna be the best seats lol
