I have made two external transfer deposits since opening the account. The first time it took almost a week for the balance to change. This time, the history shows the deposit (10/3), but the balance has not changed yet (10/6). They dont show both "current" and "available" like most of the other online banks. |

Same here, similar deal (except deposit was 10/2). |

Thank you for your reply. Due to transaction limits on Money Market account, online bill pay is not allowed because it could cause you to be charged fees for excess transactions. However we have learned that a programming problem has given bill pay access to some Money Market accounts. Once the problem is fixed, you will not be able to make online bill payments from your Money Market account.
Total of six (6) transfers per statement cycle, of those, a maximum of three (3) may be third party checks, automatic transfers (ACH) or drafts. (Transactions beyond these limitations will result in additional fees). We apologize for the inconvenience.
To use online bill payment once the problem has been fixed, a Platinum, Titanium, Checking with Interest or Totally Free Checking account can be used. If you would like to open one of these accounts, you can do so online by clicking on the account of choice on the left-hand side of our homepage at www.amtrust.com. Or if you prefer, you can open an account by calling the Customer Contact Center at 1-888-696-4444.
Sincerely,
Janet Fort
AmTrust Bank
I've been trying to find out how many bill payments were possible from the emoney market and they tell me this. Doesnt the site promote the free bill pay feature? |

Warning to prospective applicants: After applying last week I received a letter in the mail today -- which was fortunate, because it was mis-addressed. Seems that they dropped the second address line, so my apartment number was missing. The letter provides my account number and instructs me to log in with my User ID, which is my social security number, and a password, which is the last 4 digits of my SSN and the first 5 digits of my zip code. If the envelope had been delivered to someone else, all that person would need to access the account is my SSN, which I bet isn't so hard to find out.
I'm debating whether I want to do business with Amtrust after this less-than-confidence-inspiring beginning. |

I had applied for this account months ago. Never received a welcome letter. When I contacted them they said they were backlogged in processing and the letter would be sent out shortly. I never received the letter yet and don't even know if it will be sent or was sent and was misdirected or not. |

This BANK just messed up my account. I had initiated multiple transfers and my last one was apparently duplicated BY THEM then they REVERSED THE TRANSFER INCLUDING the FUNDS I HAD TRANSFERRED. They put an avaiability hold on the account because of THEIR MISTAKE when in fact it was WITHDRAWN from my other account. They said there is a hold till midnight tonight.
Now they are telling me there is a 5 day ACH hold time as well on all transfers WHICH WAS NOT DISCLOSED WHEN I OPENED THE ACCOUNT as funds transferred in the past showed up immediately.
Has anyone here had their issues resolve?
The website is very misleading and apparently only listed HALF the policy for fund transferring.
Will be pulling out funds if I dont have to threaten legal action to get my money back. I am sorry I ever used Amtrust even though they are a legitimate bank for the non online division in person. |

I take it this bank cant do anything right for online access. Now getting worried. Would pull out funds as of now but now I have no choice but to wait till tomorrow. Not even confident if funds will be accessible by tomorrow.
Update: After 12:00 midnight funds were not placed back in the account. Called up the 24/7 customer service line and they said that it should come off hold by 4:30AM. Will see what happens tomorrow morning. |

I don't use Yodlee but I just changed my password and have been unable to log back in for the past 10 minutes: "The system is currently unavailable. Please try again later." |

worse still: 3.30% "***e-Money Market Accounts require a $1,000 minimum to open. e-Money Market tiered APYs for balances are as follows: $1.00-$24,999.99 is 3.30%; $25,000-$49,999.99 is 3.65%, $50,000 and over is 4.10%. Fees could reduce earnings on the account." |

Actually this might be a good thing. Becoming pretty clear that are days of rising rates are over for now, So I think I will just take my esavings money and open a 6 Months 5.61% CD and end up making .31% more right now. Wonder how easy it is to open the CD and fund from savings? Has anyone done one? |
