Qualified for everything last week. Called today and after being transferred 3 times I verified I am qualified for both the jersey and Ipod. I was told that I'd get the jersey a maximum of 12 weeks from the day the $75 transaction posted, and the ipod a maximum of 12 weeks from the day the transaction that made me hit the $2000 qualifying transaction posted. The CSR could provide no details as to the jersey or the ipod, just that I had indeed qualified. She was very friendly and happy to give her name in case a problem occurs later.

Now I switch back to my cash-back card and wait...

so has anyone received the nano?

Yes. In fact, your ipod came to my home. Now, I have two to enjoy!

Seriously, why bother asking this question? I am sure someone will post asap after they receive one.

i ask because this thread's been started in sept. 3 months and no one has received a nano?

It's only been 9 weeks since the OP applied, and probably only 7 or 8 weeks since OP's card qualified for the iPod. Probably a few more weeks before anyone sees any iPods, although I hope I'm wrong.

And for what it's worth, I did a $2000 balance transfer with my application, but it wasn't processed until almost 2 weeks after that. I'm sure OP and others have similar lags in when BofA considered their cards as officially qualified for the iPod.

jmorgan947 said: I have not heard of any ipod offers through citi only BOA which this thread is referring to

Sorry - guess I wasn't clear (teaches me not to post when I could be at the blackjack tables) - I was doing a phone app for a Citi card, while doing this BoA card app online. I did several apps last night (2 citi, a Chase, this one and another BoA). Wasn't sure if that was enough to be considered an AOR...

Obviously you're not used to the time frame from promotions and rebates, but when you got something coming to you -- time passes sloooooowly. I remember getting a rebate check 10 months after a bf deal 2 years back, which was just in time to spend it at the next years bf deals. And I just received confirmation that an offer I applied for in July had been received -- but not yet approved. I could have sworn they never got the mail, and had just sent in a resubmission a day earlier. A friend had applied for an 1G iPod under a different offer with a bank, and just received a 2G because in the interim 6 months those weren't available anymore, and she had to call 4 times about it. I expect by the time my iPod shows up under this deal, it will have hologram videos, and it will come in from Bank of North America.

LOL, OP. I have a feeling that by the time I receive my Ipod, it will be equipped with a cortex interface. No more ear buds.

Thank you mods.

it means, the promotion gives out two items:
1. jersey
2. ipod

jersey arrives like a week after you sign up but the ipod doesnt show up after more than 2 months
i mean... if your gonna send out 1 of your items, why dont you just them together or something.
is there an interest in holding the most amount of ipods in your inventory? does apple give you like 10 new ipods for each 10,000 ipods you hold on to?

was it ipod nano 1 or nano 2?

For those who did the MLB card, was there any reference to the Nano promotion in your online access, or was it only in the "welcome" package you receive with the card? I called today to check on the status of my app and found out I've been approved. The rep was unable to check promos, but said it would all be laid out when I get my card in 7-10 days (she didn't know if that info would be reflected anywhere online).

thanks

anyone get theirs yet? I havnt even received my jersey even. I went ahead and did a 2K BT a month ago and nothing in the mail yet about it or the ipod.

jmorgan - did you confirm that the ipod and jersey were included in your promo (after you received the card)? My wife signed up for the other deal ($50 stmt credit and nano) but got nothing about it in the package with her card. She's been trying to deal with BofA CS with little luck thus far. Others have posted similar experiences in this thread (seems mainly an issue with the WorldPoints card though).

just got my first statement and the $50 credit was on it. Just have to wait (arghhh at least 12 weeks) for the ipod now. thanks OP.

I applied about 2 weeks after this was posted.

I've called a couple times in the last month and kept getting the same answer from CS saying that there was no link to the offer to my account. Arguing did not help either time.

So I sent multiple emails, sending the link to the offer we have signed up for. No reply, despite the promise that all emails will be answered in 12 hours.

My last email sent yesterday was a pretty nasty one, threatening to not pay another bill until I get a response about the offer. Sure they probably don't care that if I don't pay, its my credit. Surprisingly I got a reply today saying that the nano and jersey would be sent to me in 8-12 weeks.

I notice on the application it says that you have to respond to this offer to get the reward. They must be banking on people not responding to the offer, or just giving up after being told that there is no link to the offer in their accounts.

My suggestion to those having problems with CS is to log into your accounts online and email them the link to the application. They will have a hard time "playing dumb" to the offer when they are staring at the application.

CoreyC - congrats on the favorable resolution. Unfortunately, no such luck (yet) on my end. Wife is away, so I'm using the time to get some things in order, one of which being her BofA promo - still haven't gotten my MLB card and as such, don't know if complaining is necessary. Anyhow, I sent an email through her account page yesterday (includng the link to the application page). Woke up this morning, found the $50 statement credit applied (she still doesn't have a first statement up though), and the following new message in her account...

Dear xxx xxxx,

Thank you for contacting Bank of America.

After reviewing your account, our records indicate your $50 statement
credit was applied to your account on December 4, 2006. Our records do
not indicate there was an iPod offer with your card.

Your account is enrolled in our WorldPoints program and you can redeem
points for a variety of goods and services.

Currently, the rate for purchases on your account is 7.9 percent.

We value your business and look forward to serving your banking needs.

Sincerely,

customer service drone, Bank of America

We've got screen shots of the app page, and will continue arguing with them until we resolve it. I'll update here accordingly.

Woke up this morning, found the $50 statement credit applied (she still doesn't have a first statement up though), and the following new message in her account...I went through a similar experience with BOA/FIA when I first got the card. I called wanting to confirm that the promotions were on my account -- I opted for the $50 credit/ipod, and was told, no there were no promotions on the account. Well I started to be upset, but thinking it through, took another tact. I asked if the promotion code that I opened the account under, FAAH3L (FAAF89 if you opted for the jersey), was attached to the account. Well after a long wait, he said yes it was there, but no promotions were activated yet and there was no way to tell what the code meant unless he checked a different system. Finally, he said yes that code was for $50 and the ipod. I asked why he didn't see that to begin with? Well he checked with his supervisor, and it seems the promotions are not activated until the conditions for the promotion are met.

So as far as I understand, if they confirm the promotion code is attached to your account, then when you meet the conditions, the promotions will activate and the csa will be able to see them. This would explain why the $50 showed up once you made an initial purchase, but the ipod will not show until the $2k is reached. Hopefully, this will work as they said...

Thanks for the tip Martin. I'll give that a shot. Of course, my wife has neither the patience nor the tact to deal with CSRs most of the time and they won't let me discuss her account over the phone, so it looks like email will have to suffice.

I went through my ordeal yesterday with them. What a mess they are. I did get the $50 credit for a $2k BT, which I promptly paid back in full (after enjoying about a month of interest on it sitting in a Money Market), but haven't heard a peep about the ipod. The CSR read me the code that I have on my account, which indeed matched the deal, but she said that code didn't seem to sync up with the ipod offer. I took her to the website that has that exact code on it still to this day. She appologized and said she'd submit it for "research" and they will allegedly call me back. I'm sure we'll eventually get them, but not for some time. Bummer for me, as I had hoped to give the Nano to my brother in law for x-mas, along with buying some accessories since it's so cheap. But now he's stuck getting a fully paid for shuffle... oh well.

by the way, long time reader, who just joined. thanks to all for the years of insight.

I understand your concerns and have them myself, but it seems that the csr's are like a box of chocolates -- you never know what you're going to get. Some of them have a clue where and how to look to interpret the promotion codes, and other's probably were born without them. In this case I was told the codes were interpreted and activated on a different system, so as long as they are on your account and you already got the $50, the ipod will probably show up in a box unannounced 3 months from now, which seems to be their lag time for shipping them. Of course, some acknowlegement that you really will indeed get one would be nice, so try a few csr's to find a more helpful one. Keep us posted...

Got mine today! Yippee! 2G Silver Nano. Never did get the jersey though - hopefully it's on it's way.

It seems you are the first one who got ipod. When did you finish your 2k trans? and did you receive any email notification from BoA, or UPS just dropped by?

seriously? awesome, hope we all get it before christmas!

i had a missed UPS package today too. it's either the jersey or the ipod.

Got it!!

Silver 2GB Ipod.

Made my $2000 worth of purchases at the end of Oct.

I used the other promo ($50 statement credit + ipod) to qualify for this ipod.

That makes 2 (the other courtesy of keybank) in a span of three months.

Is it the newer model ipod (2nd generation)?

What troubles me about the shipping is that they do not notify you of the ship date and just send it out without a giving you the tracking number. I hope at least they require a signature. I could be away for a couple of days and not even know it is sitting by the door, or no longer there when I get back.

Received iPod today, 2GB silver.

I spent the $2000 at the end of Nov, hopefully at this rate, I should be receiving an ipod in a month or so. thanks for the info

Hmm...so this is still open for new apps? A friend is planning an app and I would recommend adding this. Didn't see a deadline to apply in the links posted in the OP.

For those who want to find out if they have iPod in transit go Here and enter 3307 in Shipment Reference box then of course pick US in Destination Country pull down menu, then enter your zip code, hope this helps some people.

TonySpero said: For those who want to find out if they have iPod in transit go Here and enter 3307 in Shipment Reference box then of course pick US in Destination Country pull down menu, then enter your zip code, hope this helps some people.I was testing your reference link against a few packages I have already received, and according to the UPS site, this number is entered by the shipper usually as a PO number, or package ID. Each package I received, even from the same shipper, had a different code entered here. Why do you think all ipods shipped by BOA will have this same reference code?

But there maybe tons of people jumped in this offer, how do you know the package is for you?

Thanks Tony! I checked the UPS website, obtained a tracking number, called UPS, viola! this package is for me and from MBNA... I am getting an ipod on Monday, even though I won't use it, great gift though.

Well, somebody in my zip code is getting a package Monday. Green for Tony for getting me excited.
