Searched the forums but couldn't find this posted already. Link to Card
I saw this directly from the BofA website. Looks like you get a free MLB Jersey and 1GB Nano if you have a purchase or balance transfer of $2000 or more. The BT is 0% APR but 3% transfer fee.
Update I originally applied for this card and as others have mentioned here, after you apply, the page will refresh to the BofA website. I was watching TV while I applied so I didn't even realize it. So I applied again thinking that it didn't go through the first time. But actually I ended up with two cards. $10900 with the first card, $2500 with the second card.
Applied on 9/14/06 and recieved the first card on 9/22/06 and the second card on 9/25/06.
I recieved a XL Giants jersey yesterday on 10/28/06. Its a decent looking short-sleeve jersey but it has a MBNA logo on one of the sleeves.
Balance Transfer initiated 10/5/06. iPods recieved on 12/20/06.

MBNA clearly didn't learn their lesson after the New York Jets MC deal. Either that, or they made a mint off BT fees (I know they did from me). Solid! If I hadn't done an AOR recently and taken out a big BT on my NYJ card, I'd totally do this. Thanks, OP!

Actually, you don't have to do a BT to get the Ipod...just 2k in purchases...much cheaper that way.
In addition, receive an Apple® iPod nano by making any combination of purchase or cash advance transactions (balance transfers included) totaling $2,000.§

Just curious, the NYJ card was offering a BT rate of 3% transfer fee with no max, did you still make the BT or were you able to get them to put a ceiling on the BT fee?

interesting... does anyone know the rate of points to cash? You get 1 point per dollar.

I also rec. did an AOR and added some bofa/mbna cards, but might be worth a shot since they could just decrease your limit on another card to get this one...

This $2,000 purchase/cash advancd/BT requirement is really a turn-off. Still trying to decide whether it's worth the hard Experian inquiry or not.
Any idea how much time we have to satisfy the $2,000 requirement? Unless necessary I don't want to waste my purchases in categories that could otherwise earn me 5% to 6% rewards with my other cards. But my "everything else" purchases could take a while (3 months perhaps) to reach $2,000.

Hmm....I do have a transfer I could do to get this but 1gb Nano is kinda small in todays market. I have a few Yankee jerseys already....
I just don't see it worthy of my credit and time but for some of you....GO FOR IT...it's not that bad of a deal if you need/want both items

assuming 1gb nano now sells around $120, it is a 6% back deal for first 3 months.

In fact, doing a BT is not bad, considering now there are some 13/15-month CDs with 6% APY.

That's what I am doing too. Wait a few more months, there will be more of these Nano offers. The new 2G Nano cost the same as the current 1G Nano.

I paid 3% uncapped, but for that one it was 0% for *15* months, not 12. I think 3% is worth it to get (5.15%*1.25+iPod) or so. I'd obviously prefer to have paid less, but I figured it was fair since that was the only BT fee I ended up paying on my AOR.

Wow, this deal makes me filling out the application at the ballpark just to get the commemerative towel seem kind of lame.
Then again, my credit score is trashed right now, and I'll probably get denied, but I've still got the gift. Joke's on them! Suckers!

i have some stupid questions here, but please respond.
1. can you use this new card to pay off your other credit card balance? 2. also, for the 3% BT, does that mean, if i do a BT for the required $2000, it'll charge me $60? if that's the case, isn't that almost the price of a iGB nano anyway?

1) Sure; that's what a balance xfer is. It'll cost you 3% of the transaction though. 2) The price of a 1GB Nano's probably between $100-$120 now that the new iPods are out.

The way I read the terms, you can make $2000 in purchases and still qualify for the iPod. That would save you the 3% fee.
