Does your card have "Extra Bases" in the upper left hand corner and a picture of your selected team uniform on the card like the sign up page shows? Mine is just a plain white card, no pictures or anything but BoA and MC logos. When I called to activate they said I better print a copy of the application pages that shows the ipod offer because it did not show anything about the offer associated with my account.
I do see that the applyonlinenow.com domain is registered to BoA so it is not a 3rd party site. Customer Service said I may have to apply again to get the "Extra Bases" card.
I got the Extra Bases card. |

It's impossible for you to get the Ipod....Why not? Just pay down the card to a negative balance of $1,500 first and then make purchases/BTs of $2,000. |

Some cc's wont let you overpay more than your credit limit....if you have other boa cards, you could just move the limits into this card...also, in oct. apparently you will be able to do it with your mbna cards too. |

I also only got an "Extra Bases" card instead of a St. Louis Cardinals one - very disappointed there. Hope the jersey is a Cardinals one and not a generic MLB one. |

Called Customer Service, did a direct deposit of $18,000 (about 80% utlization)into my checking account. Said takes 4-6 days to show up.
I realize they have a 3% fee on this BT offer ($540 for me), but am paying down a HELOC at nearly 8%. Will be utilizing a bunch of other BT offers in the coming weeks to get my $50K balance down.
In mean time, rep told me IPOD and jerseys are way behind and expect them to take 10-12 weeks for delivery.
Thanks to OP for getting us this deal.
Did you just call the customer service number on the back of the card for the information about the IPod and the jerseys?
Thanks. |

I got a generic one too and asked customer service about this. They said after your qualifying purchase, you're sent a certificate. At that point, you choose your team and get the jersey. |

In that case, overpay just $500 and spend $1,000 each month and he will be able to qualify in 2 months.
Reallocating the limits is also a very good idea if he does have another BoA/MBNA card. |

Got the card yesterday. To answer some of the more recent questions:
- It was six days since I applied on-line - This morning the website still has no record of my submittal and therefore no status - I received the "Extra bases" card w/my team logo on it - $18k limit
Already qualified for the Jersey last night; and should qualify for the iPod within the next 2 statement cycles....
Thanks again OP! |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I received my credit card last week.. and added it in my mbna account with bill pay function.. now I wonder if the bill pay $2000 will qualify as that $2000 purchase requirement or not.. hehe~~ if yes, that will be sweet. use award card to earn CashBack and pay it with bill pay to qualify bofa ipod nano.. maybe it's too good.

Won't work. Several people failed by doing this in the last round of MBNA Jets card's free nano already. Must be $2,000 in purchases and/or BTs only. |

I have a credit line of a $1000 also, but are we able to spend $1000, pay that then spend another $1000. To qualify you need to spend $2000 within the first 90 days, doesn't say we have to do it in one billing cycle. Anyone know? |

As a non-baseball fan I don't greatly value a Jersey, espeically a t shirt version. It occurred to me that since you get a certificate it might be worth the trouble of using eBay (buyer could pick his favorite team) and a certificate would be cheap to mail, or you could fill in certicate and mail for buyer.
Just glancing at E-bay I see T-shirt jerseys at $9.99 plus perhaps $6.00 for shipping. Anybody know if it is a T-shirt jersey or soemthing a little more substantial?
Does anyone (possibly from the previous offer) know whether the fine print would forbid this or have any thoughts as to whether it would be worth the trouble?
While I see people hoping there will be offers with a new model ipod, I suspect that BOA got a good deal from Apple on the older model and suspect this may not happen soon (eventually, the new model may be discontinued and available to banks at a good price). There is maximum promotional value when something has been advertised widely as worth $X and the bank can buy it as a discontinued model in bulk at a much lower price, and the best time for a promotion like this is before the old model is widely available at a lower discounted price.
Looking on eBay 1 meg nano appears available now at $125 or so, but will probably be cheaper in a few months when people have spent or balance transferred $2000 and have actually gotten delivery.
May statement closes Oct. 12 and will have the $2,000 balance so I should find out in a month or so. |

is it as simple as applied and once i receive the card.. then use it to buy plane tickets.. and keep all document.. and checking FW to make sure they send the nano? No other hidden cost right ? thanx |

Yup. It's that easy. You might want to call up after you receive the card to make sure that they have the correct promo code for your card. Then just mark your calendar for the estimated time for the gifts to arrive. No extra fees. I did the Jets promo 2x. Ebayed them for over $100 each. Easy $. The only thing to consider is the effect on your credit score. If you aren't in the market for a mortgage or car lease..it's a great deal. -S
