2. Do they have limitation on the ACH amount such as 5k of USAA? In that case, you were limited 30K/month (6 times 5k withdrawl) to transfer the money out.

Could not find anything about limits for transfers so would think it's the standard that most banks use of $100k per day.
Found it pretty cool that you can log onto your account right after you apply. No waiting for log info is a plus

Does the initial deposit happen via ACH?

Hopefully it will be added to Yodlee soon.

I've been making a killing off of test deposits lately!

"For security purposes, we will not allow any withdrawals from your E-LOAN account to be made by an outside institution."

So with this account you have to ACH the funds USING this specific account only and can't use a 2nd bank to initiate the transfers if I am reading this right, meaning if you find another high rate bank, you have to transfer BACK to the initial linked account and then BACK to the other bank?

This sounds icky.

Yeah it sounds as if you can only have one linked account and can only transfer money out to that linked account (can't use another bank eg. GMAC to ACH pull from Eloan). So if xyz bank pops up a month from now with a 6% MMA you cannot transfer directly to them you would have to use your linked account, unless you change your linked account to be the new bank (you can make 4 changes per year).

icky? I like it. I like the security feature that money cannot be pulled from my account

There are more details available at BankDeals. Be sure to read the comments also. Apparently there is no hard pull.

The 5.50% is the most competitive offering on the market and its tempting but I will wait till next week to see what happens.

I'm in the dark...what's supposed to happen next week?

I agree with waiting. It only came online last night. Plus maybe a signup promo starting 10/1?

edit: I just pulled that date out of ... the air

ditto

Also does E-Loan start giving you interest on the same day as deposit like Emigrant does?

I use GMAC as the hub of all my accounts. So far, I haven't hit the max number of accounts to link to GMAC. Plus, GMAC allows me to keep track of all my acct numbers and ABA numbers in one place.

Gotta love the FW bunch, Bank offers the highest rate but you still need a few buck bonus. Doubt they will feel the need, More important they hold the rate

alert mods

Uh oh. They must be getting slammed. I was trying to complete the application I started earlier. FW effect indeed...

It's that need for instant gratification.

Ok, this is for all those people saying they will wait a week so they aren't "rate chasing"
The terms of this deal are within 30 you must verify the account by telling them 2 deposit amounts which they submitted to your bank. They pull the money out right away and deposit these small amounts the same time I assume but you have a full month to verify. If you do not verify they refund the money back into your bank account, PLUS INTEREST.

My opinion is, take this deal. If you do not find a better one in 29 days your money will be right back where it started plus a months worth of interest.

alert mods

I don't think the issue is so much rate chasing as it is possible bonuses. For example, ING offers a lot of signup bonuses, but they are only valid if you have never had an ING account before.

I have sent them the question but perhaps one of you already has the answer. I don't believe I can initiate ACH transfers from my checking account. If the push starts there OK
Wondering.

That's correct. All transfers must be done from E-Loan site. Personally I like it
