Thanks OP. I registered, printed the page, but didn't see details of if I have to mail something in after test drive or if the dealer gives you the gift card. Any Idea how this one works?

Took this Buick certificate to the local dealer yesterday.
They have no idea how to process the certificate for fulfillment.
"We'll call you before the end of the day with the info."
No call as yet.
GM/Onstar are dazed and confused by their own promo.
I printed the email received after I viewed the video and signed up for the test drive offer on the site. The email has your code number for the offer. I then took the printout to my local dealer. He took me into his office, where he pulled out a letter from the company which gave details of how to validate the offer. He typed in a particular URL, then logged onto the site, and there as a link which took him to this particular program and allowed him to enter the code number from my printout. After entering my code number, my information that I'd entered online appeared, he checked some confirmation boxes, added his name, hit enter, and that was it. Easy and simple. He printed off a copy of the "completed" confirmation page for me and one for him to keep as well. So some dealers do keep up with this stuff and do know how to handle the promotions.

IMO, that doesn't sound so easy and simple, because this requires full cooperation from the dealership associates, they must have the knowledge about this protocol and they must do all the work like typing stuff into the system, ..., I mean, come on, this is not like asking them to simply sign on a piece of paper.
The dealership which deserves a round of applause for being up to date and knowledgable about current test drive promotions is Edd Rogers Buick etc in Sparta, TN.

I'll have my dealer call your dealer.
BTW My dealer called OnStar while I was in the showroom. OnStar referred them to American Express for info. Golf clap for Mr Wagoner and his minions.

I wonder if they'll be willing to validate that for you without taking the test drive. I hate to waste the sales person's time if I'm not buying the car. Based upon the confirmation setup, you have to take the actual test drive.

Waste the salesman's time. I'm going to get this promo redeemed and a free car wash without a test drive because they wasted MY TIME>
Last time I was int he Buick dealership, the salesman was a n00b! He didn't even bothered walking toward me. I had to approach him and get that thing signed. I highly doubt they know how to use a computer. Not even going to try this time. Thanks tho!
The dealership needs to validate your test drive offer online with your test drive id code.
They "should" have received a packet from headquarters in the mail with details on the promotion, but most likely is in some INBOX somewhere in the dealership...
If the dealership does not know how to validate, have them call the 800 number on the offer form. They will fax the info directly to the dealership.
This happened to me, I saw the salesman give the paper to the manager, who promptly gave it back to him, saying he didn't know what to do, and that they didn't need to do anything as I'd "Just get the gift card in the mail".
Didn't sound right to me, so I called Buick Headquarters toll-free number from my car, and they told me that their was a special website set up for the dealers to validate... So I went back in, and 30 minutes later.... I was validated...

Took this Buick certificate to the local dealer in Los Angeles yesterday and did test drive.
They have no idea how to process the certificate for fulfillment and told me to call the salesman back in 2-3 days about this offer.

Any intelligent dealer in SoCal area? perfect example of how time can be wasted. word of advice: if you do actually have to take an actual test drive make sure the sales people know how to fulfill the reward.

OK, took a copy of the e-mail certificate to the local Buick dealer here in Naples, Florida after I looked it up on the link provided on the Buick website. On that page, it gave the name of the "GM Certified Internet Manager". That is the person I asked to speak with when I went into the local Buick dealership. I handed him the copy of my e-mail certificate. He, too, did not know what to do with this info, although he did know about the test-drive promotion. He said that he would find out from corporate what to do with the info, etc. etc. and made a copy of the e-mail certificate, giving me the original one that I had printed out. I asked for his business card just in case. That was this morning. About 30 minutes ago (now 2:30PM), he called me back to say that he found out what to do with the info I provided on the e-mail certificate and that he took care of it i.e. inputted the necessary info into the Buick website that only dealers have access to for these kinds of promotions I assume. He said I'd get my $50 AMEX GC in 4-6 weeks. Sweet! I didn't even have to do the test drive! Cool beans. . . .

IMO, this validation method will make this a big PITA to get paid on. Its going to make the dealers do a lot of work for which they don't have much incentive.

Can't you call ahead and make sure they know about this?

Thanks for posting the dealership. I'll also do my test drive in Sparta.

At least when they make the driver send it in, all the dealership needs to do is sign the form and you only waste a couple of minutes of their time.

What's the corporate # the dealer needs to call if there's a problem? Thanks!
Any chance you can log in yourself and do it or maybe do it yourself on a computer at the dealership? I can imagine the irritation this one is going to create for all the GMs around the country. Imagine having to go enter this for multiple " pretend customers" per day
Thanks OP! Off to my local Buick dealership tomorrow!
Moderator: Finding something like this buried in a thread with 20+ pages is a total PITA! If we have consolidated threads, then it's high time to start pruning out the old outdated promo's and posts concerning them. Sometimes consolidation is a good thing. Other times it is not.

I went to one of Buick Dealer. The saleman handed my email print to the manager. They discussed for a while, then the saleman came out with a form called" Client Entry Form". He asked me to fill it out and he said manager is going to mail to GM, never got any confirmation, wondering if they would really mail it.
I havent received a test drive promotion in over 6 months..anyone have any new links for me...I keep getting brochures in the mail...but no test drives.........
