Can we have some current information as to which stores people have actually gotten 5% from and which not--particularly office supply/electronics transactions? |

Two places (I believe) I got 5% back from are Staples and Kinko's. The Cash Back seems to be calculated after subtracting other discounts, like the 5% one gets back from Fedex/Kinko's. This is the first statement I've had any 5% contenders on so my data isn't definitive yet. |

For those of you converted to SimplyCash from other cards, did you get the 0% on purchases for 12 months? |

Answer from AMEX: "Promotional rates are only available with new card applications. When you are converting from one card product to another, you will receive the standard rates." |

I can confirm the above. When I called to convert my existing card to SimplyCash, the CSR said I would get a promotional 0% purchase APR. However once I received the card it did not have the promo APR, and calling and emailing CSR got the same answer: promo APR for new accounts only. |

Has anyone tried it at the Apple Store, CDW, Newegg, BestBuy or any place like that to see if you get the 5% rebate? In a way those can be considered office supply merchants. |
