Nothing, the invitation mail was send to my aunt, and she had excellent credit but doesn't know much about credit card offers.

it seems more like a unique code than a promo code others can use

I did ask the credit card representative, she said everyone can use the rsvp as long as he/she get approved.

I really don't know, but you can ask them before you applied.

got shot down
Why don't you open a new account with them. AMEX is very generous to give our new card. They may transfer some balance from your Platinum cash to Simplycash. That's what they did to me.

Ouch! That rejected conversion stings! I wonder what the reason was.

In terms of opening a new account, that involves a hard pull, which is worth $170+ in my book. Not worth it for even CashBack like this.

Tempting with $75 from cardoffers.

However, I already have a card that's 5% gas (Chase Cash Plus) and one that is 3% office (Citi Professional).

I don't think its worth it for the Cash Back on wireless. I do like the auto-crediting of rewards though.

That's a unique code which links to the name of the person who received the invitation letter. Just called with the RSVP #. The lady immediately told me a name links to this RSVP code. So no go here with this RSVP #.

This sounds like a good card. i like the 5% rebate without tiered rebate system that is nortorious from AMEX

My mom applied for this card yesterday (she is the existing cardmember though),used the rvsp code which AMEX sent to my aunt (completely different name),the credit card representative did not ask her whether she was the person get the invitation letter or not, what he did was just entered rvsp code and gave my mom instant approval as well as $150 statement credit. So she has two 5% CashBack credit cards; one is Chase Reward Plus Visa (I decided to tell her to apply this card rather than Chase Cash Plus because of the high cash redemption limit), the other one is the simplycash AMEX because I believed monthly statement credit is a great deal, 5% on wireless cellphone will save me more than $60 per year.

Could someone please explain why I should convert an existing card to a new card versus just getting a second card? I don't get it...

They won't lower your credit score if you can convert the existing card to simplycash credit card.

Today, I used AmericanExpress live chat and talked to the card representative whether the rvsp code is reusable or not. She said the rvsp code can only use once, differ from what the other cc representative told me. Anyway, I've already used it (I would apply for this card even if I don't have the code).

I jumped in on it last night through CardOffers with instant approval. Hopefully there are no issues with CardOffers paying out the bonus.

Anyone here know how long it will take for CardOffers to pay you the $75?

Really want this card soon. AMEX only send me an invitation letter for Blue. I've tried to called with the RSVP code here. But the CSR told me that code is for someone else. Looks like no promise they will send me a code for this SimplyCash. That way I may go through CardOffer too.

TIA !!

My Cingular account is only $840/year; I'll pass on the $42 rebate.......I don't know if cingular(AT&T) account gets 5%. for sure, it isn't included 5% open saving page...

Yes,

My cingular came through and I earned 5% CashBack on it.

I have checked all of my purchases so far in a spreadhseet (Gas, Cell, Other) and so far It's 100% on the mark in terms of expected CashBack.

Thanks for the confirmation. Great to know. I've applied and got approved. The card should be here in a few days. Can't wait for this card. Have discover Gas card. but it's only 5% for gas. plus other limitatioins. AMEX really come out some great offers recently. Personally also got the $250 with the cash rebate business card just last month. Love AMEX now.

I'm thinking of applying for this card, but would love to get a little extra for applying. What is the cardoffers bonus and if there any way to get an rsvp code? (I have a AMEX costco card right now, so I don't know if they'd send one out to me or if I can request an rsvp code). THanks!
