got a Citi Shell BT offer with 4% BT fee up to $90. If I can get my CL up to $100k the $90 fee would be negligible. =) |

I recommend anyone who plans on wanting a zero fee BT next year to apply for a Citi card now, THIS CARD has zero fee, 12 month BT clock starts after you request the first BT so technically you could apply for this, let it sit for 11-1/2 months and then start a 12 month BT. |

Reallocate most of your credit line to ONE of the cards, use it for next 12 months for no fee BTs. Then about 12 months from now, reallocate the credit line to ther OTHER new Citi card and start using that 12 month no fee BT.
It is possible to lockin 24 months of no fee BTs with Citi right NOW. |

But the offers/terms can change ANYTIME with proper notice. Looks like the end of free/low interest money for now. Which might be a good thing economy-wise overall.

Looks like you can "opt-out" and keep your existing terms until end of membership year, or expiration date on card, whichever is later.
Only downfall is account closes when that period hits.
Just got the notice for my diamond preferred card. |

Perhaps you did not understand my post, if you get 2 new Citi cards with the 0% /no fees intro promo, they are required to honor that. |

I'm counting on what you say SIS, but realistically what would happen if they didn't honor the 12month BT terms? Say I go to apply for a BT in 11-1/2 month and they say "your fee will be 3%"? |

They cannot change the terms of an intro promo. They made an offer for specific promo if you apply and you accepted it.
yes creditors can change terms on open ended accounts, but they cannot change terms of a promo midstream. Otherwise they would take all of us who are using 0% deals and say "effective next month, no more 0%, its 24%".
And if you do get a notice of change in terms, they always give you an option to refuse the change. |

I was holding off on Citi's 0% for life offer until my credit report was shiny. That particular offer says apply by 12/15/06 for the $75 max BT fee. That particular offer should stay at $75 max all the way to 12/15/06? Or should I apply now to beat the $250 max fee coming on 11/17?
