Once you have the card, call the 800 number on the back of the card, and usually Citi is quite easy on CL relocation, please search FWF on this topic. I have done it once from Citi MC to Citi AMEX about two month ago.

SInce it appears that you have one of these cards, could you please answer my question: Does this card report its limit properly to the credit bereaus, unlike the elite premier pass card that reports a 0 limit?
Thank you. |

A system error has caused a delay in processing your application. Be assured that we have received it and there is no need to resubmit. We will contact you at the mailing address you provided as soon as it is processed. Thank you!
Hahah damn sucks for me. Now I have to wait. |

got a call from citi this morning, saying that I am running out of credits and suggesting I cancel some cards that I am not using. Gosh.... before this call, I didnt realize I applied so many cards with citi. I got 12K CL for this one after some cancellation. As per her suggestion, I need to destroy those cards. I had no clue where to locate them after all those years. Guess should be all right if the cards are cancelled. |

It would be a common practice for FWers to separate purchase from BT cards. If you do want to get both 10,000 TY points and no fee BT, I suggest that you signup online pay, do one purchase, immediately pay full amount. Then, Wait until your first statement available on line, make sure it has zero balance then you perform BT.
I've done this before w Citi and that's exactly the way it has to be done. |

Does anyone know if Citi will do a direct ACH/cut you a check in your name or do we have to filter it through another card that does? There is a thread somewhere w this info but I swear I can never find it when I need it. |

I have two Citi cards. Both of them allow ACH to my checking account. But the two cards I have are not AMEX. I am also interested to know if this AMEX card allows direct ACH. Anyone who has received this card can answer this question? |

I bumped my credit line to 25k on 2 cards today. If I do a BT of $10k on one of the cards, will this effect my credit score? I have a decent fico score of about 736, 726, and 770 from all three.

got a call from citi this morning, And the rep offered me to take Citi Professional card also and told me I'll get 10000 more points for professional (along with 10000 points for citi AMEX rewads card). And professional card has also 0% for 12 months (12 month count start from first balance txfr). I gladly accepted professional card too
On AMEX reward card credit limit is $12000. On citi professional card limit is $7000. (and have $26000 limit on existing citi cards). Total credit limit on citi cards including new cards is $45,000, I'll take most of that amount as 0% APR. Now got to find a good rate 12months CD.
Thanks OP!!

As far as combining lines of credit thru Citi, if I just opened 3 accounts with them, could I combine two of the three?
I just did the 0% for life and am thinking about doing this one only to consolidate this one into the 0% for life I just opened? Or do I need to wait 90 days, 6 months???
TIA. |

Is there an annual cap on the points you can earn like other citi cards? |

Sorry to be an ignoramus, but I am not real proficient at exploiting credit card deals although I have done a couple of modest BT deals. I have 3 Citi cards, all MC, the Diamonfd Preferred, Professional, and a Dividend. The latter 2 I rarely use. I'm interested in this because of the no BT fee and I've got some other BT balances I need to pay off. If I go for it, I'd like to get a reasonably high limit. I don't know my credit score but I think its fairly high.
Should I try applying by phone, perhaps offering to kill my Dividend and/or Professional because of the credit limits and number of Citi cards I have? Or should I just try online, see what happens, and try to massage the results after it runs its course? |

Received Citi Professional with no problem 2 weeks ago. Applied for this Diamond card using the shortcut link for existing Citi card holders and was told I would recive decision by mail. Today I got an email asking for a copy of my home phone bill. Called and said I only have a cell phone and they said I could supply a copy of any utility bill.
Funny, why couldn't they verify my address from my credit report when it was ok two weeks ago? |

Used the OPs link and was instantly approved for $5700 CL, this is just the card I needed to get my other cards paid off. BTW, I do have another Citi card and used the link to import all my info from that account. |

Search for "life" in the finance forum. After that, post back here about how helpful searching can be when you need to find information so it encourages others. |

Called in to transfer line of credit today from my old Dividend card. Not working. The CSR said I can't transfer line between AMEX and MC.

Applied on Friday, got an email this morning saying to call and verify some info. They just asked if I was self-employed or worked for a company. Then the CSR went on about also applying for a Citi MC w the 10K TY points at the same time. 0% no fee BT for 12mo from date of transfer. She said points can be combined w other TY cards so I did it. That's probably the first time a cc company actually asked me if I wanted to do a mini-AOR. |
