I've been searching all thru the site since it opened the end of October and I can find no where on the site to request an online CL increase.

I know at the old MBNA Netaccess site you could do it online.

Am I missing something?

TIA.

It disappeared online after the merger. You'll have to call.

Thanks!

Yep. You have to call but its very easy. I was approved for an increase.

email works too

If you opened it by the end of last month, most probably the will reject your request. I've had my CC since march and they've rejected my request twice. The reason (according to the letter I received) is that I haven't had the account open for at least 9 months; so I guess I'll have to wait until December. And as far as requesting the CL increase online, I did it a couple of weeks ago for my MBNA and I did not have a problem; now that I tried to find it, it's not there anymore.

did they do a hard pull? did you have an option of skipping the hard pull?

Ummm, I'm really confused. Bank of America does have a cli online. And it's not a hard pull. I'm really confused as to why no one else said this? I thought it was really well known. Once you log into your account, go to Services.

I have two BofA identities and both of them do not have the CLI that you mention. Could it be that only people who are due a CLI have that link?

alert mods

I don't have those links either.

alert mods

Did they recently take it away? A few weeks ago after the merger everyone was doing online CLI.

alert mods

The link is no longer there but the page is and it still works. I don't think the address to the CLI page should be posted publicly as BofA will kill it as a result.

just call the # on the back of your card. the csr will connect you to the dept that does CLI. pretty fast and painless- just asked my income, monthly mortgage/rent payment and what size line i was requesting. assured me there would be no hard pull, put me on hold for 30 seconds and i got what i asked for, which was a 150% increase in my CL. my experience and others is that it's much tougher to get CLI's with BoA until after you've had the card for >9 months. hth
