I dont know for starters it a MMA account vs Checking account. It pays 5.05% with balances of $1 and up vs ING EO does not pay a higher rate till you get over $100K. This account refunds unlimited ATM charges if your account has $5K or more. ING EO refunds no ATM charges but allows you make withdrawls only at All point ATMS. This account is limited to 6 transaction per month vs ING EO is a checking account and has no limits.
Do you need me to keep listing more difference for you? Or you get the picture that your comparing an savings accounts vs checking.
By MMA do you mean money market? This isn't a money market account is it?
I meant Money market account/savings account because the only difference between money market account and savings is money market account allows you to write 3 checks against it but it is still FDIC insured and is regulated by same Regulation D requirements. I am sorry I use abrivaition of MMA because this account is truely a savings account because it does not allow checks or external debts to drawn against it according to Terms of service except most online savings accounts are in fact MMA because they do allow drafts to be issued against them. This is not a Money Market Fund nor did I ever say it was. |

Right...usually on a money market account you can write 3 checks a month (not all of them, but many) but on a Savings account you can't write any checks at all...On this account, you can't write any checks..... |

E*Trade Bank account's Statement is generated at the end of each month. But how fast would the Statement become available for viewing online? - a couple days or much longer? Any one can speak from your experience? TIA! |

But it is really just a formality; the online account activity displays transactions daily (including interest credited at the end of the month) and a running balance, so if you want to reconcile your account you can do so pretty anytime you want. |

I had the same problem, I think it was because I signed up on ETrade before I opened the account. I called them and they walked me through it. I had to go to the main page, click on "Banking" on the left side, and then slightly to the right, under "Maximize savings", there is
Just opened a new account? Set up Online Account Access
Click on "Set up onlnine..." link. Here, you will enter your acct num, soc sec num, and you will have to set up a new username and password. It sucks that I had to (and you probably will have to) change it, but once I did that, I saw my initial deposit and account.

I heard from a special CS rep that posting on FW will not get your account fixed. She also mention that special customers with decoder rings might be able to deposit Aprox $15K before returning there signature cards but unless you got a decoder ring and give special password to CSR your account might not allowed to make deposits till you return the signature or call in. |

I already did contact them and I posted the response earlier in this thread. They basically said they were getting swamped and it would take a bit longer.

What are you guys talking about with 1 day transfers with the E Trade Complete Savings account? I signed up for the account, and it says that it will take 3 days for the money to be credited to the account for each transfer I have set up since starting the account. |

It posts the day you request it.
*The opening deposit does take longer to post, since it comes from an unlinked, unverified account. |

Anyone notice something weird with the available balance? I made my initial deposit (when I opened the acct) 6 days ago. It seems my "available" amount rotates daily between zero and my initial deposit amount. Today it's back to zero again (but I can see my deposit when I click on details, it's just not available) I did another transfer into the acct today, and my "7 day projected amount" is the amount of my transfer (doesn't include my initial deposit) Weird. And frustrating. Even though I don't need access to it now, I hope it isn't a problem when I do need it... |

It will show up again in another couple days. Not sure why, and never bothered to ask since it is a one-time occurance per account. |

It is only that initial deposit that you made that has a super long hold on it (since it came from an unverified account). Any transfers you make from your verified linked accounts will be available in 3 business days..... |
