Plus, I just noticed that your promo ends tonight.
It was too easy to get the $50 offer from the online specialist. If they're lazy as you say, maybe they will just renew the promotion using "campuscash" again. |

Anyone have this similiar issue???
I have a myaccess checking and a worldpoints CC. I made a one time payment FROM my boa checking TO my boa CC. I made the payment on 12/22/06 to be POSTED on 12/27/06. So the payment has been recieved on my CC but NOT debited from my checking.
BOA is STUMPED...."well, your bill has been paid" says the supervisor. They have no idea where the money came from. I have a case number as well as the first and last name and extension of the supervisor...but basically they have no clue what happend and are taking a "wait and see" approach.
Maybe they didnt feel my $100 bonus, ipod nano and $50 statement credit was enough!

Is there a listing anywhere on which boa cards work with mbna bill pay and which ones don't.
I have 3 cards 2 of 3 work fine, however the effectiva visa from bof a does not work on mbna billpay as a funding source, the other 2 are regular mbna cards, one was an old eBay cobranded, the other regular worldpoints |

I opened a BoA checking in July and got the 100$. I did not open a regular savings account yet. Is there still an offer out for opening / adding a regular savings account to your checking ? I missed the 25$ at the time. I need it so I can sign up for keep the change (did not want to do that last year, too much international travel). |

I think this thread is a great idea! I was hoping that we can add information about the various tiers that exist at BoA and the benefits you obtain from reaching these deposit levels. For example:
10k Gold Free checks
25k+ Advantage Monthly maintenance Fees waived on all linked accounts 0.5% Interest paid to Advantage checking account
50k+ Master All fees waived Eligible for sweep account features to make interest in checking (4%) dedicated phone line
I dont know if the above is correct but I think this sort of info isn't readily accessible from the BoA website |

Anyone have this similiar issue??? Well what do you know, they reversed my payment and slapped on a $39 returned check fee.
I just got off the phone and evidently instead of clicking the "Pay Now" hyperlink, I have to "Transfer Funds". They are going to reverse my fee.....at least I finally got an answer...only took 4 phone calls and nearly 2 hours of my time. BOA = teh sux (nothing new to FW) |

Sadly, this is the case. I'm just waiting now for a final $50 bonus and then I'll move to greener pastures. Wait, I'll still have the KeepTheChange deal, let alone the permanent 0% APR given by MBNA BillPay. Still, 2006 was a generous one, if we look in retrospective. It seems BofA spent a ton of money for the merger promos, and our greedy members (myself included) enjoyed a free lunch while it lasted. |

I searched around for this offer by Bank of America but couldn't find it, so I'm posting here if anyone offer assistance.
I received in the mail a "ZERO BALANCE" debt consolidation offer from BoA up to 25k.
At first blush, it seems like a fairly good idea since I have some financed stuff (new furnace/ac coming off a 1year ni/np, some and some other cc debt) in the amount of around $10k (grrrrr!)
Only sticklers is:
APR is 8.99% BT fee of $5/min - no max
I really don't want to open up any more credit cards as I have plenty open accounts. It's just no one has any decent bt offers (from the cards that I have).
I have a citi card that I have a $6k limit with about $2k on it from a bt I did a about 2-3mo back on a 12mo ni/ no bt fee and I see that deal is still available, but I'd need a credit limit increase (of which I just requested) to fit at least the furnace on.
Any suggestions? Should I go with the BoA deal? or is there better options?
Thanks! |

Let's see: What does "Zero Balance" offer mean, since you mentioned the APR is 8.99? Moreover, add the balance fees, usually about 3-4%, and you just said it is uncapped. The worst part about the BT fee is that it is paid upfront. If the offer is for 1 year, then the effective rate would be about 8.99% + BT fee, this being about 12-13% annually
If the APR you are paying right now is more than that, it should work for you.
Another thing to consider is how long will this offer last? Is it for 12 months or is it for the life of the balance?
Still, if you have a reasonable credit score, you should be able to get a few new cards with promotional 0% on BTs, from different card issuers, not only from Bank of America. Dig deeper in this forum, looking for App-O-Rama (AOR). |

Thanks for the reply...
the Zero Balance means for the life of the balance till it's paid off.
I do have very good credit and I just requested another chunk from Citi since they're still running a 12mo/noI/noBT promo on BTs - we'll see what they give me. At time of application, they immediately gave me an extra 1200 and the rest will be reviewed.
I have seen AOR mentioned within the finance section and have looked it over. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks! |

Seems I am the only one who really signed up for NEA after acquiring the BofA MMS account. Not bad. Aside of the fact that it provides me up to $1MM classroom liability insurance, I get all sorts of magazines, some of them from the local NEA chapters. OK, long story short. I just received a NEA magazine, and on its back cover it has an offer for a MBNA-like card, 8.25% purchase APR, and it has:
12 months 0%, no fee cash advance and balance transfer APR (upon application). You can see for yourself at ImageShack. (If you want a more detailed image, just ask)
Seems like you need to prove you are a NEA member, so you may not qualify. But I don't seem to remember if they even verified my eligibility to become a NEA member (as a student).
I checked at www.neamb.com and the offer is even better, just like the PNC card, but with $75 bonus: check here
But the terms are a little bit confusing. Now they don't state "no BT fee", but Transaction fee for Balance Transfers and Cash Advance Checks: 3% of each such cash advance (minimum $5, maximum $125)
Not sure if I want to apply, b/c I already have a bunch of MBNA cards. Maybe just for the bonus. I'll see. |

Odd - each of those NEA cards asks you to choose your state at the top of the form, and California (my state) isn't listed. I'd guess I'm not eligible, but I'll see what I can do.
More important question: anyone seen any other BofA 0% offers with capped BT fees? |

Thanks, gl10ny! There is indeed a Netbank Worldpoints Visa with 12 month 0% intro on BTs and CAs: http://www.netbank.com/loans_creditcard.htm Now I just hope that they will reallocate from other MBNA based cards... |

Hi everyone.
I have been considering a credit card for a while now, but haven't yet gotten around to it.
This is my first year out of school, and I am just now beginning to build up my credit. A year before today, I was not making payments on anything.
At this moment, I am paying for: Car Car insurance Appartment Utilities
I only want to have one credit card, and I would really like one through bank of america since that is where I do all of my banking--that is also who I have my car loan through.
What would be a good credit card for me to get started out with? I'm not going to put much on it, only my larger purchases. |
