There have been a lot of changes lately, mainly regarding its recent MBNA absorption. As a consequence, several threads with similar concerns were created. Also, there are usually quite a few juicy offers which are spread around.
These are the two main reasons why I am trying to put all the eggs into one basket, in the hopes they won't break, though. My goal for this thread is to become a centralizer for all current deals and issues.

SUCKISSTAPLES said:I dont think we have an informative thread on reallocating credit lines from MBNA to BofA cards I just did this yesterday, moved about 20k from my Worldpoints card to an older BofA card to utilize the 0% convenience checks offer. I asked the CSR if this could be done online and she said the facility is not available yet.
Limit one $XX.XX incentive per household every 60 days.
Does that mean I can open other incentives at that time? or, am I limited to one incentive, in total, every 60 days?
My feeling is that one can only use a particular incentive (MYA100) every 60 days, but is not limited to the number of other incentives opened at any particular time.

Make sense?
I think so too..I open three accounts within a month time frame. I got the first 100 already..Currently, i'm inquiring about the two other accounts bonuses. I will update when i get it.
I'm in New York...is there a way to get "My Access Checking" without the direct deposit requirement? I checked the link on this thread...it says "Texas Residents Only"....anyone know a way (or a link) that would work for me?
People say it can't be done, but I was able to reallocate credit between two BofA cards. I had to call 3 times to get a CSR who didn't say no, but in the end, they are able to do this.
THis was on the web page, I can't really tell exactly what the terms are. THe "extend through...October 2007" is what I don't get. My guess is they are saying if you do 2 balance transfers by statement close Jan. 2007, your 0% is extended through October. If only one its through January. (Before someone says "what did they say when you called them", I haven't called them.)
EDIT: OK, I just emailed them for a clarification...
"† The promotional Annual Percentage Rate (APR) offer for Balance Transfers and Check Cash Advances is 0% through your statement Closing Date in January 2007. These promotional rates will extend through your statement Closing Date in October 2007 if a new Balance Transfer or Check Cash Advance posts to your account on or before your statement Closing Date in January 2007. However, your promotional rate period may end sooner. If any Total Minimum Payment Due is not received by the Payment Due Date, then as of the first day of the next billing cycle, the promotional period will end. Thereafter, the APRs for all new and outstanding Balance Transfers and Check Cash Advances will be increased to indexed rates that vary according to the terms disclosed in your Account Agreement, as is or may be amended ("Agreement"). These rates may also be increased to the Default Rates as disclosed in your Agreement. If the Default Rates are applied, your account will no longer have variable APRs that fluctuate according to an index and margin.
We will allocate your payments to balances (including new transactions) with lower Annual Percentage Rates (APRs) (including zero percent) before balances with higher APRs.) Please note that the promotional 0% APR does not apply to purchase transactions. The effect of payment allocation means that you would need to pay your New Balance Total in full and on time to take advantage of the grace period on purchases. Borrowing the full amount of your available credit may result in an overlimit fee, as applicable.
There are no transaction fees for balance transfers. However, effective as of 01/2007, each balance transfer is subject to a 4% transaction fee between $10 and $90 and the Minimum Finance Charge is $1.50.
§ Available credit amount may not include recent purchases, advances, or transfers. When determining your transfer amount, be sure to plan for applicable fees and finance charges (see your account agreement for details)."
A BOA "horror story"...i applied for MyAccess Checking online (through the link to get it without the Direct Deposit Requirement)....
i have been officially rejected by BOA (I called the application line)....first bank in all my years of banking to do that! Seems they have a "problem" verifying who i am...so, for my "protection" i am not permitted to open up my account online, i must go to a BOA branch with photo id and utility bill to prove who i am before they will grant me the privilege of opening an account with them!
So even though they did a "hard pull" on me through trans-union (i have a perfect credit report with all 3 of them) and had my NY State Driver's ID number on my application....and my Social Security Number, and called me on Friday from their Security Department to "verify" my identity, and asked a lot of stupid questions about locations i have never lived at in my life...and names of people who i never knew in my life....they did ask me about my familarity with a particular address (it's the address i use to live at) and i verified that it was indeed my previous address.
"They" can't properly identify me well enough to open an online account for me... What a wonderful...."customer service" oriented bank BOA is
By the way, they never even bothered to e-mail me about the rejection....if i hadn't phoned them i never would have even known what happened.....Do they really think i would now go into a branch and open an account with them (aside from the fact that i wouldn't be able to use the promotion code).....I think not....
How about this, just discovered you can pay a BOA card with a BOA Card! Log into BOA click on ebills then select add merchant pick BOA consumer loans enter account number, once it's set up click pay now, now pick your BOA funding account to pay the BOA account you just entered, now you can keep going back and fourth without ever paying anything, whats the worse that can happen? they close your accounts and tell you to pay your balance
