ALL, please have a print-out of this offer untill u get the $150 credit.
I made my purchase a week ago and called customer service. They confirmed that the credit would appear within 1-2 billing cycles.
BUT they say, its only $100. I told them that the offer is for $150, so they asked me to save the copy which I would need to fax later if only $100 shows up instead of $150.

As of 1/25/07 Get instant approval and a $100 card credit after your first Sony Card purchase. Offer expires May 31, 2007. First purchase must be made by August 31,2007. 100 link
Several weeks since you applied still no response? I know several people mentioned this issue in the thread. I finally figured out why it was such a long delay. I was able to call the actual Chase/Sony lending department at 888-270-2127. My application was not processed because they were unable to verify my current address of 2.5 years. I was able to talk to a person at that number and verified a few things. She instantly approved the card for 7K and said it will arrived in ~5 days. Give that a shot if it has been several weeks and nothing has happened. -Snyder81
BT fee can be waived per other thread on Chase Cancel BT Fees.
i'm a n00b here. so if i sign up for this card, i can put $150 in gas on it the first month and when i get my statement there will be a -150 credit, so my statement balance will be $0?
Down in the fine print, under item 1, it states that "credit will be applied to your SonyCard account 8-12 weeks after your first purchase." So, Squeezer99, you probably won't see the credit before your statement prints. Since it mentions nothing about location or amount, I would use the rules from last years $100 offer, which were just to buy something, anywhere, for at least $1.00, then your credit will appear later.

There is another sony card thread that you can read....but, what I did during the 100 offer is pay 1 buck on my phone bill online and paid off the 1 buck....they credited the 100 near the end of the 8-12 weeks last time...

I still have a -$100 balance from my previous Sony rewards card. Does anyone know if they let you have more than 1 or do I need to convert/consolidate this card first?
Clocks said:Great find OP! Is this a Chase card. I did not get instant approval, and I think it is because I recently applied for another Chase card.
Yup, it's a Chase card. I had 6 Chase cards in the past, 5 of them were signups for various bonuses. I called and had all of the credit limits reallocated into one card (Cash Plus), and had the rest closed. Some may scoff that I even closed them at all, but it was easier for me. I'll combine this one and my United card into Cash Plus in a couple months, then sign up again. 2 free tickets from United and counting...
Anyone know if you have to keep this open for xx amount of time? I think only the United card has to be open for 6 months, otherwise they can retract the signup bonus.
