I got citi aadvantage card with 12k limit 2 weeks ago. I am trying to relocate 10k to driver's edge card which has 24k credit limit with 12 month 0% BT so I first called aadvantage # and csr did it for me and told me it takes 24 hours to reflect on my account but it never happens. Actually I tried twice with aadvantage csr and didn't succeed so finally gave up. And then I called driver's edge csr, an indian guy promised the same thing to me but after 2 days nothing happened. Is there some rule that we cannot do that? If yes why csr didn't tell me? I have done credit line rellocation more than ten times with other cards, never got trouble, so upset now

I have had a similar problem. I tried reallocating from a Diamond card to a Professional.
I tried once a few months ago, was told I could not. I read something in a post about being able to after Nov. 7th and so about 2 weeks ago I tried again. I was on hold a while but the guy came back and said I could and it would reflect within 3 days. Well 2 weeks later and nothing...
Really sucks that CITI is promising things to people and not coming through.
Only thing I can think of is it's still not possible to transfer from a personal to a business card. Anyways else able to ???
Citi Professional did not allow CL reallocation from other cards before, they claim it is possible now and I did it yesterday, we'll if it reflects. However, they do not transfer credit lines from affiliate cards (HiltonHonors in my case) except for AT&T.

I do believe so, I recommend talking to another CSR, their knowledge varies widely.

I've read of several people reallocating from AAdvantage to other personal cards -- both in the reallocation thread and on other forums. I sure hope you can. My only Citi card is a $35K AAdvantage. As soon as Citi lets me open up another card account, I want to reallocate the line so it's reported.
I've reallocated from both the AA Plat MC and AA AMEX. For the Platinum cards, you have to leave at least $2000 on the card, but other than that you can reallocate without problem as long as it's from personal card to personal card. Usually takes 10-15 minutes to show up online. Call back during business hours.
You can re-allocate AA to most of other Citi personal card. The minimum line for AA Platinum is $2000 that must be there.
I have moved credit lines among different citi cards including AA at least a dozen times. The only time it cannot be done is to try to allocate HHonor Visa to a MC - it has to be MC to MC.
The CL reallocation happens within 5 minutes - I usually logged in online when I called Citi. There were times the CL changes right in front of my eyes when I switched from screen to screen. They all told you it would take 24 to 48 hours - in reality if the allocation is correctly done, the new allocation shows up within minutes. If it does not show up after 30 minutes - the CSR either did not do it, or did not know HOW to do it. Instead of waiting, you should call back. The knowledge level varies greatly among the CSRs. Indian call center is not all that bad except it is difficult to understand their ascent - also I believe they dont have as much authority as their U.S. counterpart, or even their Philippines counterpart.

This is important point! I've tried to leave less than required minimum on one of the card and the reallocation did not go through. Make sure you have your CSR check what is the minimum required for the card that will have lower CL.

I was told by a biz CSR that this feature, as well as reallocation/combination between business cards, should be available sometime during Q1 2007 in conjunction with some system upgrades they're doing.
Does anyone know though if reallocation is possible with a citi mastercard (like a diamond or dividend) going to a Hilton Visa? Is this possible? Or is it turned down because:
1. still only MC to MC 2. not possible because the Hilton is a co-branded?
