no problem... I knew it wasnt in response to the other quote.
I think a master "post your small claims success stories" FAQ thread would be good at FWF , from these other members who have had success in court, so as to encourage people not to curl up and take it from these companies.
Only problem is the inevitable flood of questions and handholding that will follow. |

If someone doesn't get to it before, I intend to start on on Sunday. (Friday and Saturday are crazy for me this week.) Very good idea!

I don't usually link to outside sites, but in case anyone is interested, the Consumerist just did a little follow-up on their initial coverage. I got a kick out of it and thought that some of you might as well.

largeeyes said:...How could one person ever need to sue a large corporation 19 times in a life time?
There's no way I could keep track of how many times I've been screwed by a store (not honoring a published policy), a restaurant (food poisoning), a corporation (product didn't work as advertised and they refused to honor their warranty), false advertising on promotions, attempted bait and switch (I don't think I've fallen for it yet), etc...
It's just that most times, the amount involved is too small to warrant the time/effort needed to sue. Unforturnately this has led to companies taking advantage of this fact and pushing the envelope on how much they can screw customers. |
