Whoever posted this is welcome to post a copy of the court order, assuming that they don't mind my deleting my personally identifying information.
This is some major-ultra-green, especially for the photo! I'm gonna email my buddies with the site. They'll get a huge kick out of it.
Let me know and I will send you a scan of it in pdf or jpg, whichever you prefer.
No wonder I love this community!

Verizon is one of the biggest cell phone companies, and apparently doesn't give a flying fart about their clients BECAUSE they are so big. If they lose a few, no problem, they are already the 800 pound gorilla on the block, no great loss to them. |

It's a shame that my brother left website design. He could have done it for free and it would have looked more professional than I could manage. Funny thought though...
I think you need a blog for this. Let us know the blog name. It is easy to set one up here at google |

i am currently suing verizon wireless in small claims court -- their reply date was nov. 27 and so far have heard nothing. but i'm intrigued by your story. did you recover for the time spent trying to clear up your credit? my case arised from a billing error and v.w. then cutting off my cell phone service with literally 10 minutes notice by cell phone to me. i then paid what they said i owed, to get service restored, and went to another carrier [t mobile] because i refuse to do business with companies who treat their customers so poorly, esp. when it's a service that we pay for every month only to have it available for real emergencies. my suit seeks to recover the cancellation fees imposed by v.w. for terminating the service. |

12% interest? That's nice. There are some hard core FWF types who probably would have tried to drag things on forever just to get that return over more than 123 days. |

Anyone else get in on the v710 class action suit? That was a great day when I got my $200 check. Could finally stick it back to them |

Congrats!
Unless I missed it in scanning this thread, what statute was your claim based on? I would assume it was a violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act?
You mentioned that your credit report was affected, but I did not see that you indicated whether you disputed that debt upon their collection attempts.
All the best...and I hope the check shows up soon! |

I would assume it was a violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act? NO! The FDCPA applies to 3rd party collectors and original creditors ONLY if they pretend to be a 3rd party collector.
FCRA and FCBA apply to original creditors. |

Funny thing is yes. I bought it when it first came out. They told me the camera photos could be uploaded through bluetooth. Lo and behold, no such luck. That was my only class action lawsuit that I have been a part of and this recent small claims action was my only other lawsuit altogether. Funny thing is that both were against the same company. The v710 class action was so pleasant compared to the small claims. Much more intensive prep work.

Again, my goal was just to have this sorted out in as reasonable an amount of time as possible. I did nothing to delay the matter.
