Cardoffers is a scam. I applied and was approved for several cards through their site and was never credited.
Has this been others' experience, as well? I've seen Cardoffers referenced elsewhere in this forum, but I've never used them myself. Anybody gotten paid? Wouldn't want to trade with a scamster.

I applied for the Citi Professional last month through CardOffers and was approved for the $40 bonus. Now I just need to wait for the check. (This was my first time using CardOffers)

Did you get 10k or 15k TY bonus points?

hm. yeah, my first time using cardoffers, too. i guess there's not much to lose, but i'd certainly much rather it were on the level.

Applied and got in on the deal! This is awesome, I didn't bother with cardoffers. Also I applied for the Sony $150 and got that too, now I have $300 for my new laptop this Spring. Thanks OP and everyone else. BTW, I checked my credit this morning before the applications and it was at 670. Can't wait to check it in a couple of days!

Is there just one card tier for the Citi Professional card? Are there platinum/gold/whatever varieties? If there is only one tier, what type of card benefits is this equal to?

Thanks

applied the other day, got deferred...crossing fingers and checking mailbox.

ETA: got a call today, that I was approved but only for $1000, asked me if I wanted them to tranfer all but $1000 CL from my Upromise card, which I agreed to.

I signed up for this maybe two weeks ago, nothing in the mail yet. Should I have received a confirmation email or anything? Is there a link to check status like AMEX?

I signed up about two weeks ago as well, haven't received my card in the mail. I was approved and can check everything out on their website. Just waiting for the card, I received the Sony card the same day I applied for the citi last thursday.

Could you please tell me where do you check the status on the website? I'm usually good about digging up stuff like that, but I can't seem to find it.

Sadly, I was just notified I already have the maximum number of cards that can be issued to an individual.
Granted, it would have been my second Professional card.

Actually I was already approved so I had received my card number and etc.. So I just registered online. Sorry if my post was misleading.

Odd... I applied online, and was instantly approved, but I didn't immediately get a CC#. They said they'd send me my card within a week (Wednesday last week), but based on this thread, I doubt that's gonna happen. If I don't get anything after two weeks, I'll give them a call.

Samething for me. She called me that I'll only get $1000 as I already have two different citi cards with a limits of 8.9k and 7.6k and I've already exceeded the maximum amount of credit line (13k) i'm allowed to have. This is based on my annual salary of 52k. But she did allowed me to change the credit lines between the cards so that i can have the credit line of 6k on the new card.

Just as a little tip to people I've cashed in the thankyoupoints before for the "Student Loan Rebate". They just send you a check. I just cash that check and have never had any problem. It does take about a month to get the check though so it is kind of slow.

At least they notified you first before closing out one of your existing lines of credit. Those schmucks at Citi closed my OLDEST account in order to open this one, w/o even contacting me first. I lost 16 years of credit history! Wish they would have deferred and contacted me. <sigh>

Is is a set number (can you please tell us the # of Citi cards you have) or does it depend on the income? Thank you!

Thanks OP! Going to apply for one now!

To answer other's questions (albeit rather late), CardOffers is NOT a scam and they DO pay you your money. I applied for a mtvU card and got my $40 check in the mail (I think they dropped the offer to $33 now though). I remember checking it often to see if they were going to pay me, but one day it finally showed in my CO account and a little later on I received the check in the mail.

Edit: I just checked my CO account. I was approved on 7/11/06 and they paid me on 8/30/06. Not too bad.

Hope that helps!

I interpreted this as not being allowed to have more than a Professional card.
But if you asked, I already have 3 Citi cards. Not sure about the income- cards# relationship.
