ETA: got a call today, that I was approved but only for $1000, asked me if I wanted them to tranfer all but $1000 CL from my Upromise card, which I agreed to.
Samething for me. She called me that I'll only get $1000 as I already have two different citi cards with a limits of 8.9k and 7.6k and I've already exceeded the maximum amount of credit line (13k) i'm allowed to have. This is based on my annual salary of 52k. But she did allowed me to change the credit lines between the cards so that i can have the credit line of 6k on the new card.
They told me at was also at the max for my reported income and then the day after, they approved me for $7800 on a Citi Simplicity card. It never hurts to continue applying if you want more credit for BT's, etc. |

Is is a set number (can you please tell us the # of Citi cards you have) or does it depend on the income? Thank you!
I interpreted this as not being allowed to have more than a Professional card. But if you asked, I already have 3 Citi cards. Not sure about the income- cards# relationship.
Hmmmm...3 is not a limit (I have 4), probably because of the Professional card you already had. |

I've seen others post that Citi's limit is 4. I had 4 cards with them (all the Dividends and Diamonds) and they closed my Diamond Rewards AMEX to give me the Pro card for this deal. They didn't call, just sent a letter telling me. No big deal because I wasn't using it anyway and just got it last year, but I agree that they should call you first to ask. Can't argue with 15k free points though. |

I already have four Citi cards and recently applied for and received the PP Elite and this card as well...so now I have six. I also want the AA card for the bonus miles so I'm going to go for seven. |

Actually I was already approved so I had received my card number and etc.. So I just registered online. Sorry if my post was misleading.
This is very odd. Of all these years I rotate Citi cards, I have NEVER received ONCE a card number BEFORE receiving the actual card. CSR wouldn't even tell you the account number on the phone eventhough they can confirm card is approved.
Also, there is no way to register your card online without having the physical card in hand - as the procedure requires you put in the 3 digit security code at the back of the physical card.
I am very suspicious of the above post. It is either something newly developed or the post is totally bogus.

I applied for the 10k offer. Sent in a screen shot showing the 5k extra, and it was added to my account. |

How did you send it? The secure messaging option does not allow file attachments. Did you send it by email, snail mail, or fax? Thanks |

To answer other's questions (albeit rather late), CardOffers is NOT a scam and they DO pay you your money. I applied for a mtvU card and got my $40 check in the mail (I think they dropped the offer to $33 now though). I remember checking it often to see if they were going to pay me, but one day it finally showed in my CO account and a little later on I received the check in the mail.
Edit: I just checked my CO account. I was approved on 7/11/06 and they paid me on 8/30/06. Not too bad.
Hope that helps!
Ah, good to know. Glad somebody finally posted something reassuring... |

Whom you are kidding? You post this information under 2 screennames - you posted the "registration" and the first clarification under screen name Jahnke 771. Now you posted 2nd clarification under screen name Amr5150, but Amr5150 has not mentioned about registration in previous posts.
Bogus information. Next time, remember under which screen name you use for each "story" you made up so not to get caught. |

I applied last Monday; my card number was showing (no limit) on my credit scores by the end of the week (couldn't sign up online yet, because I didn't have the 3-digit security code), received the card this past Tuesday. Made my first purchase last night, and will now be using it for restuarant and gas purchases to rack up the TY points. I'll update (if I remember) when I get the 15k TY points in my TY network. Thanks OP! |

Card arrived today. Got a call a couple days ago saying I was only approved for 1k because I was at the max exposure based on my income and asked if I wanted to reallocate. Just glad they didn't close any other accounts just to approve this one. |

uhhh...what? my only screen name is this one..I can assure you of that. I'm just curious how you signed up without your 3 digit security code? Doesn't really matter. |

When I get this card its because of the fact Citi (correct me if I'm wrong as a friend told me this) that Citi will cut me a check for the BT amount. But what I'm wondering is how will they calculate my minimum monthly fee on the Citi Professional card? As I plan to take that check and put it in a savings account, I just want to make sure I'll be able to pay the minimum monthly payments. |

good to know, thanks...I just got my card today. Made a quick google video purchase, do we have to wait for the statement to close for the TY points to show up? Guess I'm wondering how you know you got the extra 5k points? |
