The old CD thread is here. Thanks to all those who contributed to that thread and made it the best place on the net to find rates. Let's keep that up and use the excellent format from the previous cd thread with some minor updates.

ATTENTION PLEASE - Posting Guidlines:

>>>RATES POSTED should be those OPEN NATIONWIDE TO ALL PERSONS - NO GEOGRAPHIC RESTRICTIONS. Other minimal restrictions should be made with a notation. (Want to post about CD's that are limited by geographic or membership restrictions? Post these deals here - The YMMV, Geographic/Membership Restricted CD Rate Thread (user updated)).

>>For DISCUSSION of cds as a topic please post here - discussion Thread for CD Thread

>DISCLAIMER: Rates are for informational purposes only and do not represent an endorsement or recommendation of any listed institution. Indicated rates are those published by the institution. Updates are made by FW members. However, as rates can change frequently and without notice, contact the institution to verify the current rate prior to investment. Do your own research before you invest!

>Only FDIC Insured Banks in the USA as well as NCUA Insured Credit Unions with NO or MINIMAL restrictive membership requirements will be listed in the main rates section. Non federally insured Credit Unions will be listed in a separate section.

>This thread should include primarily rates that are posted on the institution's website as these can be more easily monitored and updated. Exceptions should be noted.

>Please post rates as "% APY".

>Please feel free to update rates as changes occur.

>Those wishing to discuss cds as a topic should post here - discussion Thread for CD Thread
