Wife and I ordered another 4 cards (2 gold, 2 plat. cash rebate) using 4 different business names. Easy $1k yet again....AMEX is a great credit card bank to boot....cheers OP! apologies if i am being dumb, but what made you choose 2 gold and 2 plat.? is the limiting factor that you don't want to apply to more than 2 AMEX cards or is the limiting factor that only the gold and plat. cards offer the $250? seems from the web page that all four cards offer the $250. am i missing something? |

Question before I pull the trigger - arent these "no limit" cards really bad for your credit score? I'm looking at the Gold. |

The other two cards have an annual fee....gold is waived and plat. cash rebate doesnt have one. These are the combos we used last time so that's why we did the same again. Easy money |

These cards will never show up on your credit report. They do not affect your credit score what-so-ever. Unless you miss a payment. |

The question was if "no limit" cards are really bad for your credit score. We all know that inquiry alone brings the score down few points. |

So what does everyone use as a business name on these cards? I used my standard "business" name on my last AMEX card. |

do they count the "legal business name" (i.e, your name if you don't have a TIN) as the basis in deciding whether the business is unique or do they count the name of the business on the card/type of business? |

I hate how on the AMEX applications you can only give 20 characters for an address. What, no one has an address over 20 characters? My mail person is going to hate me for not putting down my apartment number :-\\ |

I too had this problem. After I get approved (if I do) I will then update my address for future mailings. |

Simple. Just call them shortly after you're approved (if instant) and have them update it. I had the same problem back when I applied for my AMEX Biz Gold card earlier this year. It's idiotic of them, though. I mean, we have the technology to allow long text fields. |
