1 question for people who didnt get instant approval.

how soon after u apply u can find ur application in the application status website.


I applied this morning ,,,didnt get instant approval,,,,,told me i wud get a decision in 8 business days.

went to the applicatin status link,,,but doesnt show me my application yet.


do u think its too early,,,,?

Minimum purchase for the $250?

Can I buy $1.00 in gas and get the $250 credit and 5,000 points?

If I have a $250 credit on the gold card, will AMEX send me a check?

Finally, do you think canceling a charge card like AMEX gold is not so bad since it doesn't have a credit line listed, so your credit utilization doesn't go down when you cancel?

got an email from AMEX asking me to call to verify business phone number and company name. used my name as the company name in my application. will there be any problem when calling them back?

EDIT: No instant approval. The link provided gave me an update to a CLI I requested a few days ago.

Good question for which I dont have an answer. Would be even sweeter to add authorized users so they too can qualify for the 5000 bonus points.

what the heck does this mean? I didn't pay attention to it.
I applied this evening. how come date received is Nov 23?

I got a NY state tax id a few months ago.

Is that the same as the TIN?

I applied this evening. how come date received is Nov 23?

Do you have any other American Express cards? It could be from a credit line increase application. I have two approvals on my status page, but both are from credit line increase requests.

This is your last AMEX application. I have the same thing for the Nov. card. But nothing showing up for the current application.</blockquote>

Good find! Time to start a new business! Did anybody notice this statement: Note: Only business owners who received this offer via Inc. Magazine qualify to apply for a Card through this website

Its in a popup window when you click the $250 bonus "special offer" on the left side.

Hopefully they are not cross checking inc. magazine subscribers....
