OP, this is something you need to decide for yourself. Obviously, from financial standpoint you might be better off living with parents, giving them money for utilities/food/etc. and saving money for a future downpayment. Now, you need to figure out if the time/energy you spend on commute is worth the savings and how your social life might improve if you move out. In my family, most grads live at home for 2-3 yrs (if they find job locally), and buy their own place. Do the math, calculate what will be the difference in your income/spending between now and if you move out, and decide for yourself if its worth it. |
