Check out this other one also from CITI (AMEX): - 10K TY points after first purchase - 5 TY points for every $1 spent at supermarkets, drugstores and gas stations for the first 12 months. 1 TY point after that - 1 TY point for everything else
Can one earn TY points on balance transfers? I could transfer a couple of my student loans which I plan to have paid off in less than 6 months just to earn the 0% interest plus the points value.

"New cardmembers only." Does that mean if I already have any Citi card I'm out of luck, or if I already have a Diamond Preferred Rewards card? BTW, I have the Citi Dividend cash card.

Does this offer come with "5 reward points for every $1 spent on purchases at supermarkets, drugstores and gas stations; 1 point for every $1 on all other purchases" like the one they have for this card on their website www.citicards.com ?

Judging from past practice, you would receive the bonus.

Do I have to submit for the BT at the point of applying for this card to get the [0%-0fee] offer? Or can I apply for the card and then process a BT through the card's website and still recieve the 0 fee offer? Please let me know

it's ok to bt later. I got the card already. And I didn't find where to bt during the application.
I have one question. I got approved for 0% and credit line of 6500. If I request to increate the credit line to 15K and then do a BT of 15K, do the charge me any fees?
No Fees is only for initial approved BT of 6500? or I can increase my CreditLine and then use with No Fees?

No extra fee.
I did this many times. Got a new citi card with $500 CL, then moved CL from other citi cards to this one(with no-fee 0% APR). Now my question is: Will they move CL in Citi mastercard to Citi AMEX?

No. I requested to move my CL from citi mastercard to citi AMEX but the CSR said it can't be done. Disappointed since you would think they are the CITI Card after all.....

From my experience with Citi, they might very well approve the CLI, although moving a line from another Citi card might be a little easier. I sought a CLI and got an additional 2k immediately after getting my last Citi.
has anyone received the 10000 TY points on their account?

Okay, I got approved for both this deal (F1A6) and another one using the F1K7 code. F1K7 does come with a balance transfer fee of $75 but it's lifetime 0% as long as I make two purchases every month - planning to make two small purchases.
My question is, with both approved, is there any strategy to maximize the benefit, or it doesn't matter?

The T&C for this card say 5%/1% for the first 12 months only, but doesn't clarify what they are after the first 12 months. What are the rewards for this card after the first year?
Yes they didn't increase CL for me as well so I just consolidated a couple cards and did a BT, I'm using the amount to pay off my car loan which is at 5.6% APY. Now I wont be paying interest on the car loan and will pay off the entire amount to citi before february Great deal for me!
To the poster above, this is not a 5%/1% promotion...The only good thing abt the card in terms of TY points is 2points per $1 spent. There is NO 5% at gas stations/drugstores etc...correct me on this if I'm wrong.

Good question, I'm not really sure but I don't think it makes much of a difference for any amount thats not as big as 100k. Read this article:
Interest Compounded Daily vs. Monthly: Does It Matter?
Short answer: No, not really, unless you are talking amounts over six figures.
I’ve seen so many people get hung up on this, I think it deserves a post. The easiest way to explain it is with an example. Let’s say ‘DaBank’ compounds interest daily on their accounts, and ‘MoBank’ compounds interest monthly. Let’s say you have a $10,000, 1-Year CD with both of them at the same 5% APR interest rate, and compare how much interest you have at the end of the year. Both credit interest monthly.
MoBank: Since MoBank compounds monthly, you are getting 5/12 = .4166% every month. So, at the end of the first month, you will have 10,000 x 1.004166 = $10041.67. During the second month, you will be earning .4166% on $10041.67, not just $10,000. So at the end of the 2nd month you’ll have $10083.51, not $10083.34. This goes on for twelve months:
$10,000 x (1 + .05/12)12 = $10511.62.
DaBank: Since DaBank compounds daily, you are getting 5/365 = .0137% every day. So, at the end of the first day, you will have 10,000 x 1.000137 = $10001.37. Using the same basic formula as above for 365 days:
$10,000 x (1 + .05/365)365 = $10,512.67.
So over the course of a year you’ve only earned $1.05 more by compounding daily versus compounding monthly.
The easy way to not even worry about this is to just compare APYs instead of APRs. APY, or Annual Percentage Yield, calculates your annual interest return including compounding however it is calcuated, whether it be daily, monthly, or every 6.374 seconds. So in our example above MoBank would advertise a 5.12% APY and DaBank could advertise a 5.13% APY, with the same 5% APR.
Offer has been extended with new code, but has been watered down with a balance transfer fee and a higher purchase requirement to get the bonus.
