Did you ever get the card from Bank of America (AMEX)? I plan to run a business APPorama this week and may sprinkle a few personal cards in that as well.

I did end up getting the BofA AMEX. Haven't done anything with it, yet, though. |

Did tehy give you a gogod line on the AMEX card. If I can get 10-15K on that card it is worth it for me for the 0% deal.

Update: Things are going well. I'm getting ~$300/mo in interest from HSBC and now FNBO 6% savings accounts. I do have a quick question about consolodation:
I have about $40,000 in BT money coming due in July (6mo 0% BT offers). Meanwhile I have $25,300 in available credit from 3 Citibank cards. All of these cards offer 0% BT for 12 months. Can and/or should I try to consolidate these credit lines (two are personal and one is professional, though) and can and/or should request a CL increase prior to initiating the BT?
Just thought I'd ask before I act.
Any advice is always appreciated. Thanks! |

I just consolidated an ATT Universal Card with a citi dividend card with about 7 months of 0% left on it. That went smoothly -- but I have not seen the impact of closing the ATT line on my true credit report yet (the ATT card was about 4 months old).
I initiated a CLI request with the Citi dividends card the day after the condolidation. It has been 3 business days since and no word on the increase -- the request cost me 3 FAKO points on my Equifax score. The jury is still out on the merits of the CLI request. |

The CLI button on Citi's website doesn't do a hard inquiry, (unless you have to fill out a form or something) so it's worth a shot, but don't expect success on a new card.
I would recommend consolidating (well, reallocating) credit between the two personal cards to do one big BT. There have been recent reports of problems with consolidation among new citibank cards, so I'd be interested to hear your results.
The advanced trick with the two personal cards would be to reallocate into one big line, do a BT. then, 6 months from now, pay it off. Reallocate CL to the other card (which hopefully still has one month to start a BT), and then do another BT and ride it out for a full 12 months. This of course depends heavily on the terms of each card, and might not be worth if you want to have all the debt paid off at more or less the same time.
The Professional card is usually a separate fiefdom from the personal cards, so don't expect any reallocation there. |

Finally got around to reallocating credit with the two Citibank (personal) cards. Aske to move $6700 from Citi Home Rebate to the Citi Professional, to give it a $17,000 CL. They submitted a request which I'll hear back from in 3-5 days. Quick and easy with Citi phone support, but we'll see how it goes... Also did a CLI request online with the Citi Business card. Says I'll get a letter in a week or so. I don't have high hopes. |
