You forgot
Nebulizers
Horseshoes
Taffy
Adhesives
and Condiments
for purchases up to $125.
This program is getting worse and worse, thought the CC deal did come in handy.

$20 measly dollars back? I officially declare the Discover Get More program worthless. Since gas is one of the purchases, you're probably just better off switching to the Gas version of the card instead of sticking with the More card.

I'm probably going to burn up my $400 limit on gasoline alone. I'll just forget about all the other offers.

Finally, restaurants again.

Every strip club that took Discover was coded as a restaurant so your facetious is actually true. Best part is that most places will treat cash advances as purchases. The bad part is you have to deposit 400 $1 bills the next day.

Oct-Dec 2007 = football season

1-2 beers + 5% off + getting to see my NCAA/NFL team's unbroadcasted games on satellite for free < satellite/digital cable at my house per month

...wait, why am I trying to justify my spending habits based on your smug comment?

does anyone know anything about the January 2008 quarter yet? I'm really hoping that one of these quarters will be school/office supplies... or could someone put together a Discover GetMore Thread so we'd know what's probably coming up for a quarter? Jusr curious.

National City has a movie category for 3% Cash Back, and NetFlix does not seem to be included.

If I use Discover to pay for NetFlix for those three months, will it be easy for me to tell, from the statements or online info, whether they're actually including it in the 5%?

I can tell you though, it didn't take long to burn through that $400 cap. Better than nothing, but pretty weak.

OK. I payed the September statement days ago. When I checked the Cash Back bonus today, I was surprised...
Although I spent over $200 on gas, I got only $3 for the 5% Cash Back program
I have been signed up for this program since July. What's wrong?
Anybody has similar experience?

Did you exceed $400 already?

It certainly sounds like it should work for NetFlix, so I'll change my payment method for now. Conveniently, my account is scheduled to be charged on Tuesday.

Likely with a low enough max to make it almost useless.
